Description
Designed for pre-sowing treatment of all types of soils on the background of cultivation and plowing, with the filling of breakup furrows. The KSHU cultivator qualitatively performs in one pass the destruction of weeds, loosening (up to 12 cm), leveling, mulching and rolling of the soil (adjustable compaction of the upper soil layer) with the creation of a compacted bed for seeds in the sowing layer, provides resource-saving complex soil cultivation.
The KSHU series cultivator is used in various agro-climatic zones, on all types of soils, including those prone to wind and water erosion, except for stony ones:
- in the system of basic tillage according to traditional technology - for leveling the plow, pre-sowing cultivation, care for fallows;
- in the system of minimal basic tillage - for presowing cultivation, as well as leveling the microrelief of the field.
KSHU cultivators are equipped with a single spiral roller as standard. Optionally, double tandem rollers (spiral, slatted or bar), a leveling bar and a 4-row spring harrow are installed.
Slatted and slatted spiral rollers are designed so that the bar enters the ground close to the vertical, and comes out almost flat. As a result, it digs well, cuts ridges and levels the surface of the field after the passage of the implement.
In the case of work on loose soil, for example, cutting plowing, when the rollers fail and become clogged with earth. Then the rollers must be turned 180 °. Then the bar will lie flat on the ground and come out vertically. This increases the contact surface of the roller, and the roller itself will grip less soil and become less clogged.
The main advantages of the KSHU series cultivators:
- Bearing beams on which the working bodies (stands) of cultivators of the KShU series are installed are made of a square tube 60x60 mm. In this case, the pipe passes through the technological holes in the frame, which significantly increased the reliability of the tool.
- Due to a more rational arrangement of S-shaped racks in a row, it was possible to exclude "clogging" of the cultivator with weeds and crop residues, as well as an opportunity to better prepare the seedbed. The arrangement of the tines of the KShU cultivators has been increased, which allows working on stubble, "heavy" soils and poorly cultivated agricultural microphones.
- Cultivators of the KSHU series are equipped with an S-shaped tine with a section of 45x12 mm (with a spring) or 62x12 mm (without a spring). The overlap of the tines is 20 mm on each side. The use of a bar roller instead of wire rollers or spring harrows has improved the leveling of the soil and allows working on a heavily clogged agricultural background, and the use of an improved bearing assembly and an increase in the roller axis diameter to 30 mm has significantly increased its reliability.
- On the KSHU cultivator, the double rollers are not rigidly fixed in tandem, but hinged, which makes it possible to evenly distribute the load on both rollers.
- The advanced depth adjustment mechanism allows quick and accurate tool adjustments.
- Intermediate metal tubes are excluded from the hydraulic system, the number of connections and hydraulic cylinders is reduced.
- The width and height of the cultivators in the transport position allows them to be transported on public roads without the accompaniment of traffic police officers.

Description
Designed for continuous pre-sowing and steam tillage according to the classical technology in all soil and climatic zones, without the removal of moist layers to the surface.
Working bodies of the cultivator - lancet paws with a capture width of 330 mm. They are mounted on powerful curved elastic struts mounted on unified suspensions with spring safety mechanisms. The safety mechanism eliminates the breakage of the working bodies (paws with a stand) when hitting an obstacle. The design of the tine with a stand, spring suspension create micro-oscillations during the operation of the cultivator, contributing to crumbling clods along the natural boundaries of fractions. The "Z" -shaped suspension structure was selected as a result of computer modeling of all possible options as increasing the reliability and durability of the structure
Micro oscillations of the share and tine reduce drag and the required traction, which is very important when working on heavy and coarse soils. The rotary harrow finally crushes and compacts the surface layer of the soil
Instead of a rotary harrow, it can be equipped with tine harrows.
One KShU-12 cultivator replaces the unit made up of three KPS-4 cultivators.
Optional equipment:
- loosening paws;
- universal lancet paws;
- spring harrows.

Equipment
KSHU cultivators can be equipped with a number of elements. Some of them are mandatory, and some are optional, the acquisition of which is not required, but greatly simplifies the process of carrying out agrotechnical measures.
Mandatory elements include:
- two-row spring harrow "KSHU. 20,000 ";
- tooth harrow "BZSS-1.0 G";
- rotary harrow "KSHU. 04.000 ";
- three-row spring harrow "KSHU. 22.000 ", its feature is the ability to adjust the ground pressure and angle of attack.
As additional devices can be used:
- loosening shares Wil-Rich, John Deere, "KPS-270 KSHU", surfacing with sormite, knife "KVO-24020" and others;
- universal lancet paws, for example, “KPE-3.8 (410 mm)” share;
- spring harrows "BGP", Bourgault 6000, "Kama-Shtrigel", "ZPG", "BGU-16-P Kuzbass".
The relatively low weight and dimensions help to avoid transportation problems, which is also an important factor for small farms.

The composition of the cultivator. The KPS-4.0 cultivator has the following main units: a flat welded frame; two pneumatic wheels with screw mechanisms for adjusting the depth of travel of the working bodies; four short and eight long beams with lift bars; working bodies; device for mounting four tine harrows; hydraulic mechanism for raising the working bodies to the transport position. The cultivator has universal lancet paws with a working width of 200, 270, 330 mm. The lancet paws are fixed on the beads in two rows. In the front row, paws with a width of 220 or 270 mm are fixed on short ridges, and in the back row, on long ridges, paws with a width of 270 or 330 mm are fixed. A drawbar is pivotally attached to the front of the frame, on which a hydraulic cylinder is installed to raise the frame with beams to the transport position, as well as a wheel adjustment mechanism.
6
PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION When entering the corral, the tractor driver lowers the cultivator paws using the hydraulic system to the working position. The tines, due to the angle of crumbling, weight and speed, enter the soil at a given depth. The blades of the paws cut the roots of the weeds. The soil, rising along the paw and falling from it, crumbles, the surface of the field is leveled. For better breaking up clods and leveling the field surface, the cultivator is equipped with tine harrows.
7
ADJUSTMENTS Working depth - with support wheels - if the wheels are raised, the working depth will increase and vice versa. The wheels are raised and lowered by an adjustment mechanism. Uniform working depth - by pressing the spring on the rod - compress the spring, the depth of the paw stroke will increase. Uniform working depth - by changing the position of the stand on the beam - loosen the ladder and move the stand.

Universal coupling SPA-16 consists of the following main parts: central section, left 2 and right 3 wings, running 4 and support 5 wheels and hydraulic system 7. The central section is made of square and rectangular pipes and channels. At the ends of the central section, brackets 6 are welded for articulating the left and right wings of the hitch, which are supported by caster wheels. The center section is supported by two wheels. Wheel brackets are attached to the rear beam of the section with clamps and can be moved along the beam. The back bar of the section, made of square tubes, is designed for connecting agricultural machines. A hitch is welded in the center of the bar for the central location of agricultural machines to be coupled (when making up an aggregate of 3 agricultural machines). Two other towing devices are attached to the drill and are used to connect agricultural machines and fix one of the wings when the hitch is transferred to the transport position. For additional height adjustment of the towing devices of the aggregated machines, their overturn by 180 degrees is provided. For the convenience of aggregating the tractor with a hitch, a parking foot is provided at the hitch. The left and right fenders are made of square and rectangular tubes. At the ends, the wings rest on caster wheels. On the rear wing beams there are trailed devices for aggregation with towed agricultural machines.The coupler is equipped with a two-cylinder hydraulic system, consisting of pipelines, two burst couplings, six high-pressure hoses and six tees. The working bodies of the machines located in the unit with the coupling are raised and lowered by operating the hydraulic system (hydraulic valve lever) from the tractor cab. The universal coupling SPA-16 is aggregated with tractors of the 3-5 tf class and is used with cultivators KPS-4, KPE-3.8, various rollers and other agricultural machines, close in width and traction resistance, both with hydraulic and non-hydraulic ...
