How to properly store bee bread at home
The shelf life of bee bee is reduced in case of violation of the recommended rules. To prevent this from happening, it is necessary to observe the optimal temperature regime. You should also protect the beekeeping product from exposure to high humidity. The most suitable storage temperature is 0 to 12 ° C. In this case, it is required to avoid sudden changes. Can be stored in a temperature controlled refrigerator
It is important to place the product in an airtight container with a tight lid. A dark glass jar can also act as a storage container.
To reduce the risk of spoilage of the bee bread, it is necessary to distribute it in several containers.
The temperature during storage of the product in the combs should be 0-5 ° C. If the cells are not completely filled, honey is poured into the empty space. This ensures the extension of the shelf life of the bee bread. To protect the bee bread from the harmful effects of insects, containers filled with a 75% vinegar solution are placed in a room with honeycombs.
High humidity encourages mold growth
How long bee bee is stored
The shelf life of a bee bee depends on the form in which it is presented. Preservatives extend it up to a year. The beneficial properties of the product are not reduced. Violation of storage rules makes bee bread unsuitable for use within a few months after collection. A honeycomb beekeeping product is considered to be more vulnerable. Therefore, it requires a certain storage environment. It is advisable to use it within six months after collection. The shelf life of bee bee granules is one year.
How to store bee bread at home
It is recommended to store bee bread at home in a ground state. To do this, it is mixed with honey in a 3: 1 ratio. In this form, the product is placed in a dark glass container.
How to store bee bread in the refrigerator
The refrigerator is not the best place to store bee bread. The exception is models with controlled temperature conditions. Freezing the product is highly discouraged. Under the influence of low temperature, it will completely lose its beneficial properties. It is better to keep the container on high shelves, having previously adjusted the temperature
It is important to provide it with a tight lid so that the beekeeping product does not absorb foreign odors.
How to store bee granules
The granules are stored in canvas bags or dark glass jars. They do not require a specific temperature regime. Therefore, the back shelf of the cabinet will be a suitable storage place. It is not recommended to keep pellets in the refrigerator. This can lead to mold formation due to high humidity. Any ingress of water into the container should also be avoided.
How to store bee bread with honey
Honey is considered a natural preservative, so it is often used to extend the shelf life of bee bread. There are two types of storage of these components - in honeycombs and in the form of a mixture. The first option is natural. Honeycomb acts as a natural protective shell and honey acts as a preservative. Untreated raw materials are more useful, but more susceptible to temperatures. In addition, the wax shell is a bait for insects, which increases the likelihood of larvae establishment. Therefore, in this form it is stored less often than as a mixture. To prepare the paste, crushed bee bread is mixed with honey in a ratio of 3: 1. The disadvantages of this method include a decrease in the useful qualities of the product. But storage of bee bread at home in this case is much easier.
Storage of bee bread in combs at home
The storage of a medicinal substance in honeycomb cells is considered short-term. In this case, the room temperature should be 5 ° C. Optimum air humidity is not higher than 30%. In this case, the cells should be filled to the top with honey.
Perga: features and properties
- As mentioned earlier, the product is called "bread", and it is this that bees eat all year round. If we talk about the way the bee bread comes out, it is obtained on the basis of the remains of pollen, which was not spent on pollination of the inflorescences.
- Smart bees send pollen to the honeycomb compartments, glue it with a particle of their own saliva. Then the insects spread the honey and place a wax shell on top.
- Thanks to fermentation, the pollen begins to ferment. Lactic acid is released, the composition inside the forage combs turns into granular lumps - bee bread.
- Bee bread is famous for its beneficial properties. It contains minerals of all groups, amino acids, vitamins. Insects use bee bread during wintering and in early spring. At this time, honey plants are not yet blooming.
- A person can extract the maximum useful qualities from the use of bee bread. The composition lowers cholesterol and brings glucose to normal levels. As a result, people with cardiovascular disease and diabetes can lead a fulfilling life.
- If you constantly use bee bread for prophylaxis, it eliminates anemia and improves circulation. Bee bread treats anemia, prevents the development of kidney stones.
- Thanks to the stimulation of the bile ducts and pancreas, intestinal function is normalized. If you have diseases of the digestive system, bee bread should be included in the daily diet.
- Perga restores the body after surgery, stabilizes the psycho-emotional background, fights mental and physical fatigue. Frequent and portioned use of the product leads to an increase in fighting spirit and elimination of insomnia.
In what conditions to store
Perga is very sensitive to temperature conditions. It is able to maintain quality at temperatures from 0 ° C to + 12 ° C
It should be removed from the honeycomb very carefully so that the product does not lose its beneficial properties after a few days due to a violation of the temperature regime.
The correct storage conditions for bee bread are also in the selection of a normal level of air humidity, which for this product should be at the level of 15 - 30%. In a damp place, mold may form or the appearance of a wax moth, which likes "bee bread" as much as the bees themselves.
A tightly closed glass container will help protect the product from dampness. It is desirable that it also does not let light through.
Storing bee pollen in cellars and basements is not the best solution. It can be quite humid there, resulting in a loss of quality in the product over a period of several days. For the same reason, it is also undesirable to store bee bread in the refrigerator, although in this case it is possible to adjust the temperature and maintain it at a constant level.
Bee bread should be stored on the basis of its shape (it can be granular, in honeycombs and in the form of a paste). Let's talk about each form in more detail later.
In honeycombs
Honeycomb bee bread is a 100% natural beekeeping product, the storage of which requires more effort than in other cases. It is kept in dry places, away from light, separate from other foods, especially if they have a pronounced odor.
The storage temperature of the bee bread in the combs should be within the range from + 1 ° С to + 5 ° С. At the same time, the air humidity should not be higher than 30%.
If there are sections of bee bread in the combs that are not covered with honey, you need to fill them with honey yourself. This will help to "preserve" the pollen, and thereby protect it from interacting with oxygen.
Even in the most favorable conditions, the shelf life of bee bread in honeycombs usually does not exceed 6 months. And so that the wax moth does not spoil the product ahead of time, they keep an open container next to it, which contains 75% acetic acid.
Storing bee granules at home
Pure bee bread, which does not contain impurities, has the best storage capacity. It is removed from the honeycomb using a special device or manually. Then placed in canvas bags, plastic containers or opaque glass containers. But first, it must be dried.
Storing bee bread in granules is the most convenient. In addition, in this form, it does not react so sharply to the ambient temperature. In this form, the product can even be on the shelf of the pantry. At the same time, high humidity still poses a threat to the quality of the product. Therefore, it is undesirable to store bee bread in granules in the refrigerator in order to prevent the formation of mold.
It is not necessary to seal containers with granules too tightly: air should flow to them unhindered.
Ground
Before storing bee pollen in ground form, mix it with honey in a 3: 1 ratio. And you can grind the granules into powder in any way possible, including a blender, a coffee grinder, a mortar.
The resulting mass is placed in an opaque glass container and stored in a dark place with a low level of humidity and a temperature of + 1 ° C - + 4 ° C.
Secrets of the right choice
A rook of purchased pollen affects the shelf life and the content of nutrients
In order not to be mistaken, you need to pay attention to the fact that:
- Near the collection, pollen has a bright saturated color.
- The inhomogeneity of the particles proves its non-artificiality.
- A well-dried pollen becomes faded in the cold.
- It is just not impossible to crush peas with your fingers.
If unprocessed pollen is purchased, then you need to immediately buy out a jar of fresh honey for mixing. It is convenient to use a blender in other words a mixer, monitoring the degree of dissolution until a homogeneous folk is obtained).
You should not buy the product along the roads and near large enterprises and livestock complexes. The footboard will quickly absorb odors and harmful substances from car exhaust and industrial emissions. Such a product is good. Ant. you can't get poisoned.
It is better to maintain health and carry out prophylaxis during the off-season only with natural means, pollen is perfect as a universal remedy for children and adults.
Pollen storage
To ensure a long shelf life and good preservation of the pollen, you need to preserve it immediately. It is desirable to place our valuable beekeeping product in a sterilized glass jar and seal it with a seaming machine.
Dried pollen can be stored for a long time if it is dried in a vacuum for about 1-1.5 hours at a temperature of 12 degrees. It is advisable to store pollen in a refrigerator.
A good way to preserve the flavor of pollen. Since honey and powdered sugar absorb moisture from the pollen, they can be mixed in a 1: 1 or 1: 2 ratio. This is a fairly simple and reliable way that will allow you not only to preserve a valuable beekeeping product, but also improve its taste (beekeepers should know that pollen is bitter).
And remember not to store pollen in warm and humid climates, otherwise insects may appear in it. In a clean and dry room where our important product is stored, there should be no foreign odors. And, of course, the presence of mice, insects, etc. is unacceptable.
Shelf life of bee pollen
The pollen with which we dried must be stored for no more than 1 year. But if you still mix it with honey, then it will be suitable for some time (up to 5 years). However, pollen will gradually lose its healing properties. After 6 months after storage, it will lose 20-25% of its valuable properties, after a year about 40-50%, and after a couple of years it will completely lose all useful substances.
So, the main thing is to properly dry the pollen, and then store it in a room with a specific temperature and humidity.And follow some more rules that we have put a little higher. I wish you success in this difficult endeavor, and benefit from this wonderful beekeeping product!
Pollen collection
To collect pollen, it is enough to put a so-called trap on the cells of the hives, into which the pollen brought by the bee will fall. The option of collecting the product without the participation of an insect is also possible: it is enough to chicken dust particles from a flowering plant into a clean container. But at the same time, there is a colossal loss of usefulness, since the raw materials will not be processed with the secret of the working bee.
It is necessary to collect the product brought by insects every day before sunset, in no case should it be left overnight to exclude moisture ingress. And the activity of the bee after lunch is significantly reduced, from which it is inappropriate not to collect raw materials even until the evening.
Pour the polish from the boxes into a convenient container, preferably plastic, not metal, in order to avoid a reaction with metal. In this form, it is impossible to store raw materials for a long time, drying should begin in a maximum of a day. The first product contains 20-30% water and will become unusable due to long-term storage.
Bee pollen: application
The list of useful properties of the product in question is so long that it suggests a wide range of applications.
But, of course, first of all, bee pollen is interesting from the point of view of medicine. After all, there are so many useful components and a proven therapeutic effect that cannot be ignored.
Medicine
The product is used to treat and restore the body in cases of acute respiratory infections. Pollen is good for restoring and strengthening immunity. This product is often used to improve brain function, strengthen the nervous system and blood vessels. Use the beneficial properties of bee pollen to fight diseases of the gastrointestinal tract. A good product for improving the condition in diseases of the articular and bone tissues. Apply a remedy to recover from trauma and stress. The product is able to help if necessary to improve the work of the endocrine system. Bee pollen is given to adults and immunocompromised children. This is an excellent remedy for the restoration and strengthening of women's and men's health.
For elderly people, pollen is useful for improving memory, preventing the development of sclerosis, stroke, heart attack.
Attention! Use this product in moderation. Exceeding the norm threatens the development of an allergic reaction, overexcitation of the nervous system
Cosmetology
Bee pollen is also used in cosmetology. A huge number of cosmetics today contain this component. The thing is that pollen literally has a magical effect on the skin. Bee pollen-based cosmetics smooth out wrinkles, relieve inflammation, prevent acne and significantly reduce acne. Creams and masks with the addition of this component successfully cope with other skin imperfections and create reliable protection against tissue aging.
Bee pollen is also added to hair cosmetics. The component nourishes, restores and protects the hair shaft. Shampoos, balms, masks and other hair care products with bee pollen in their composition are effective for restoring growth, improving structure, and increasing hair volume. Such products form a natural shine and pleasant texture of curls. With the help of masks and shampoos based on bee pollen, you can get rid of excess oiliness of the scalp, seborrhea, and restore the activity of hair follicles.
Slimming
Bee pollen is used for weight loss. Despite the fact that this beekeeping product is considered quite nutritious, it is widely used for weight loss. There is no secret here. The fact is that bee pollen helps to improve metabolism.By boosting metabolism, this product promotes gentle and safe weight loss. And pollen also helps to "expel" excess fluid from the body and maintain the balance of substances necessary for a healthy existence.
Pregnancy and lactation
During pregnancy and lactation, this beekeeping product is not contraindicated. But you need a doctor's consultation! The fact is that bee pollen helps to increase the amount of milk in a nursing woman, as well as enrich it with valuable substances. For pregnant women, this product helps to replenish the deficiency of essential micronutrients and provide the body with the necessary support. In this case, bee pollen can be called a natural vitamin complex, which easily replaces pharmaceutical preparations of a similar orientation. However, due to the risks of developing a serious allergic reaction, such "vitamins" can not be eaten by all pregnant women, and even more so they are not suitable for every nursing mother.
Therefore, you need to approach the choice of such a prophylactic agent with caution.
When playing sports
Bee pollen is very useful for athletes! The product is especially appreciated by those who are fond of or are professionally involved in power sports. This beekeeping product is packed with healthy proteins. And also a huge amount of vitamins and minerals make bee pollen an irreplaceable and useful source of strength and health. It is very beneficial to take during active strength training to build muscle and maintain tissue health.
Storing bee bread at home
Perga is produced by bees from plant pollen. After collecting the pollen and delivering it to the hive, it is placed in a honeycomb, where, under conditions of almost complete tightness (the cells are sealed with wax caps - a bar), under the influence of a natural honey preservative, the process of its fermentation and conservation takes place. The end result of this painstaking work of insects is the formation of bread.
How long is bee bread stored?
The shelf life of bee bread can vary, but on average, under normal conditions, it is about a year. During the season, beekeepers store fresh bee bread prepared by bees, and there is no need for last year's product.
But sometimes bee bread deteriorates in just a couple of days. And this happens for various reasons, depending on the type of product, its composition and consistency.
Any violations of the storage regime, high humidity, temperature drops, the wrong choice of place - all this is extremely important for storing bee bread and are those risk factors that contribute to the product spoiling very quickly
The main danger affecting the shelf life of bee bread is humidity, the content of which should not exceed the norm of 15-30%. At higher rates, mold or wax moths may develop in bee bread.
The question arises: where to store bee bread? For obvious reasons, damp and unheated cellars are not suitable for storing bee bread. The refrigerator also cannot be called the best option for storing bee bread because of the too low temperature and high humidity. Although in this case, you can at least regulate the temperature regime and maintain a constant temperature.
Bee perga in honeycombs
The product, prepared by bees, protected by honey and sealed with wax in combs, is the most natural and healthy. It can be consumed in the same form in which it was made by insects. That is, dissolve and chew the product together with the wax.
The disadvantage of this option is that it is very difficult to store bee bread in combs at home. In addition, it has the shortest shelf life and most often suffers from wax moth and mold.
The best temperature for storing bee bread in honeycombs is from +1 to + 5 ° С. The room must certainly be darkened and dry (humidity - no more than 30%), without the presence of extraneous odors.
High humidity, inability to control and maintain a constant temperature (temperature fluctuations destroy useful properties and vitamins) - all these factors lead to rapid deterioration of the product, provoking the appearance of mold or drying out of "bee bread", the appearance of moth larvae at high temperatures.
But even in the best conditions, the shelf life of bee bread in honeycombs is usually no more than 6 months.
How to store a mixture of bee bread and honey?
To extend the shelf life of bee bread at home, beekeepers in some cases preserve bee bread with honey. To do this, bee bread is either poured with honey, or mixed with it (the content of honey in the mixture is about 30%).
It is believed that with such storage, it will be possible to preserve the bee bread as long as possible. Although it is not worth storing the product for more than a year in any form, since after this time it becomes practically useless, losing its biological activity.
How to store bee granules?
To obtain pure bee bread without wax and other related products, it is extracted from the honeycomb by hand or using special equipment. This type of bee bread is most convenient for storage.
Before packing the product into jars, containers or cloth bags, dry it slightly. In this form, it does not react so well to temperature and is well stored under normal conditions at home, for example, on a shelf in a dry closet.
High humidity, as before, remains the main enemy of this beekeeping product, provoking quick spoilage. For the same reason, granulated bee bread should not be stored in the humid and cool environment of the refrigerator.
And pay attention when packing that the dark glassware inside is dry
How to store bee bread?
For storing bee bread, beekeepers advise using dry, clean glass jars with tightly lapped or plastic lids. In such a container, bee bread can be stored for up to a year.
Small, opaque plastic food containers are sometimes used to keep out sunlight and light.
Pollen collection guidelines
Taking care of human health when collecting raw material, it is important to remember that this unique valuable beekeeping product is important for the workers themselves. To stock up on this important healing agent, but at the same time, not to harm honey insects, you need to adhere to simple rules:
To stock up on this important healing agent, but at the same time, not to harm honey insects, you need to adhere to simple rules:
- collect pollen with a pollen trap only from hives where healthy and strong bee colonies live;
- you should not collect it every day - you need to give the residents of the hive an opportunity to make supplies for feeding the larvae - their offspring;
- during the mating period of the uterus, the pollen trap is removed;
- rain and humid air are the main enemies of bee pollen, from which the product immediately deteriorates; dry and clear weather is ideal for collection;
- at night, the trays with clippings should be removed, because the natural product is highly hygroscopic, and it will disappear from moisture.
At night, the trays with upkeep should be removed.
Collecting pollen and preparing for storage
Collecting bee pollen takes place with the help of pollen traps. It is necessary to take the product from the pollen traps before the evening. Pollen left overnight can become damp.
In terms of composition, the polish is largely composed of water. To preserve useful qualities during storage, it must be thoroughly dried. Usually beekeepers use drying cabinets. In the future, the shelf life of the pegboard will directly depend on the temperature conditions set in the cabinet.
If drying is carried out in a special room, then the following conditions must be met in it:
- darkness;
- airing;
- humidity not higher than 10%;
- temperature in the range of 20-40 ° C.
The collected polish is scattered on sheets. The layer is about 1 cm thick. Drying takes three days.It must be stirred periodically.
Dried, ready for storage, pollen has certain properties:
- Becomes like lumps that are difficult to crush.
- When spilled onto plywood from a height of 20 cm, it emits a sound similar to a light metallic ringing.
After that, you need to clean the pollen from litter.
There is a faster way to dry the foil. To do this, use a vacuum, in which the product is dried for 2 hours at a temperature of 120 ° C.
Pollen. Storage
Pollen storage
In order for the shelf life of a useful bee product to be as long as possible, the dried pollen must be preserved immediately. It is best to use a pre-sterilized jar by closing it with a seaming machine.
At home, it is allowed to use another sealed container, for example, a jar with a ground-in lid or a bag
It is important that insects do not get inside. For the same purpose, do not store the polish in a warm and humid place.
To create optimal storage conditions, the following rules must be observed:
- Dark and dry room.
- Temperature up to +14 ° С.
Under these conditions, the polish can be stored for two years. The best storage space is in a dark, dry basement.
But it should be remembered that even if all storage conditions are met, the healing properties of pollen diminish over time. Thus, as a medicine, home-stored polo is recommended to be used only for 1.5 years. When purchasing it from a pharmacy, you need to check the date of manufacture. Having noticed that the expiration date is running out, it is best not to buy this product.
Flower pollen in a jar
Well of health ↑
Floral dust is a treasure trove of health. Just one pollen contains 10,000 pollen grains! Thanks to pollen, bees make bees. The second name for bee bread is bee bread. If the beehives ends the pollen of the queen bee is not interested in the process of laying eggs. Special bees casting wax do not emit it, do not build hexagonal cells intended for the development of offspring, folding honey, flower dust. Ordinary pollen, in addition to the genetic code, has a large amount of valuable foods and vitamins. It looks like a very light powder of pre-white or agate-black color. Pollen has been used for a long time in folk treatment, cosmetology. The presence of the most valuable products in it makes it possible to put it in a row with especially important medicines. Perga is a natural, natural medicine that has a positive effect on all organs of the human body. A valuable biological stimulant. Honey with the addition of bee bread treats many diseases. Consumption 30 gr. of this product daily fills the body with the required amount of nutrients and amino acids.
Do you know how to store bee pollen correctly?
It is difficult to store the polish due to the high moisture content. In fresh food, the moisture content reaches 30%. The abundance of moisture and nutrients is a suitable environment for the development of molds, bacteria and insect pests.
Pollen Drying
The pollen is collected in the spring and summer when the bees start harvesting honey. A special pollen trap is used for collection. Remove the collected product from this tool daily before dark to keep it moist.
Drying conditions
- temperature up to 40 ° C, otherwise biologically active components lose their properties;
- humidity up to 10%;
- good ventilation;
- layer no more than 1 cm;
- without access to light: ultraviolet rays destroy vitamins and hormones;
- mixing at least 1 time per day.
If the room temperature is kept at least 20 ° C, the pollen will dry in 3 days. How to determine if a product is ready for storage?
- Pollen grains harden, do not change shape when squeezed with fingers.
- Pollen rings when it falls from a height onto the surface of the plywood.
Well-dried pollen does not contain grains stuck together.The finished product is cleaned of impurities by passing it through a sieve with cells not larger than 2 mm. A fan or hairdryer is also used for cleaning: the specks are carried away by the air stream.
This drying method has serious drawbacks. If the air humidity is high, it will not be possible to dry the pollen to the desired condition, and the wet pollen will deteriorate. It is safer to use special equipment for drying.
Drying cabinets
If there is a lot of pollen, the cabinets will facilitate the laborious drying operation. Their use makes this process independent of the weather. Drying ovens maintain constant temperature and humidity, no manual stirring of the scrap is required, and the drying speed increases. The drying time is indicated in the instructions for the equipment, on average it is no more than 24 hours.
Drying in cupboards is ensured by electric heaters with thermostat or economical infrared lamps.
Vacuum drying
The drying temperature is 120 ° C, high-speed drying (1.5 - 2 hours) destroys the beech moth and preserves the useful qualities of the product.
Pollen storage
It is correct to store bee pollen in an airtight container as it absorbs moisture from the air. At home, use glass or plastic jars. Washed glass jars sterilize with steam or in the oven, let dry. Pour dry pollen into jars up to the neck, close with screwed plastic lids.
The can should contain a minimum amount of air. If you are using tin lids, wax the inner surface to prevent pollen from coming into contact with metal.
Store packed pollen in a dark place, optimal storage temperature 9 ° C (refrigerator). Store at temperatures above 20 ° C is unacceptable.
To preserve a small amount of peel from the open package, it is crushed and powdered sugar is added at a rate of 1: 1. Powder adsorbs moisture, protects pollen from deterioration and improves taste. The resulting powder is easy to use for treating children.
The shelf life of bee pollen is no more than a year, during which time it loses 75% of nutrients. After two years of storage, the polishing is useless.
If you take pollen from a pharmacy, pay attention to the expiration date on the package.
Pollen preservation
To preserve vitamins and amino acids, pollen is fermented. 150 g of honey is dissolved in a glass of warm boiled water, the temperature is brought to 40 ° C. The resulting solution is poured into 1 kg of pollen, stirred thoroughly and left for 6 days. Fermentation temperature 35 - 40 ° C. The finished product is laid out in sterile jars and closed with plastic lids, stored for up to two years. Fermented pollen is similar in properties to bee pollen.
If you mix the polish with honey, its shelf life is increased. Grind the bee pollen, add fresh honey (1 part pollen 2 parts honey). The resulting mass is stored for up to 5 years, during which its healing qualities gradually decrease. After a year of storage, the content of useful components is reduced by 40%.
Regular use of bee pollen strengthens the immune system and heals many ailments. If you are using this natural remedy, remember that the medicine can be poisonous if stored or used improperly. Fresh beekeeping products will be of the greatest benefit.
Proper storage of a medicinal product
Strict adherence to the rules for storing a useful beekeeping product at home determines its shelf life without losing its healing properties. They provide:
-
- The room for storing pollen should be warm, dry, clean, free of pronounced foreign odors. In addition, it is recommended to maintain a temperature balance, which is an important factor in the proper storage of valuable grains. The optimum room temperature is considered to be 20 ° C with a relative humidity of not more than 75%.It is convenient to monitor these indicators of the room using a psychometric hygrometer. It is also allowed to store pollen in an airtight container in the refrigerator. It is not recommended to freeze the product. Warm and humid storage conditions lead to insect breeding, which poses a threat to its quality.
- Packing pollen in sealed packaging excludes moisture ingress into the dried pollen. For these purposes, it is recommended to use glass jars of various capacities with ground-in or regular lids for preservation. Dark glass dishes are considered ideal. Before packing the product, it is recommended to sterilize the dishes with steam or alcohol, dry them and only then place the pollen in them. This action allows you to remove pathogenic microflora on the inner surface of the glass container.
- Preservation of pollen is carried out at the request of consumers and allows you to significantly extend the shelf life of pollen. To do this, professional beekeepers recommend mixing it with honey or powdered sugar, in a ratio of 1: 1 or 1: 2. Honey is considered a natural preservative. Mixing it with pollen allows you to extend the shelf life of the pollen up to five years without losing valuable qualities.
Bee pollen - what is it
Among beekeeping products, bee pollen is in particular demand, because, like honey, it is a unique product as a symbiosis of plant and animal origin. What is pollen is known from school botany lessons - it is the sperm of plants, thanks to which fertilization occurs.
The bees themselves do not produce pollen, therefore the name "bee pollen" rather corresponds to the origin of this product. The starting material for getting pollen is pollen, because bees collect nectar and simultaneously dip their legs into the pollen. Moreover, bees collect this pollen consciously, as they immediately ferment it with saliva. On their hind legs, they form two balls of fermented pollen, which they carry to the hive in the hope that it will become their food. It is no coincidence that beekeepers call the bee pollen bee bread.
Bee pollen
When they bring it to the hive, they peel it off their paws, and this is food for the queen and the worker bees. Thus, bees not only satisfy their hunger, but also protect themselves from infectious diseases, from which they are not immune. Depending on where the pollen, bee pollen or bee pollen is collected, it has a different color and composition:
- Linden pollen has a green color, and its use protects against colds, lowers body temperature.
- Willow pollen is yellow, it is recommended to take it for infectious diseases, because it is an excellent natural antibiotic that destroys pathogenic bacteria without side effects.
- Dandelion pollen perga is orange in color and is indispensable for diseases of the gastrointestinal tract.
- Bee bread from a blooming clover of pinkish-cream color is very useful in the treatment of cardiovascular diseases and for the restoration of cerebral circulation.
Bee pollen
Preservation of pollen product ↑
To do this, the dried pollen must be ground in a coffee maker. Mix it with honey (liquid) or powdered sugar one to one. You will get a homogeneous mass. Pour the product into sterilized glass jars. Do not fill the dishes completely on your finger. Treat the lids with wax. To do this, the wax must be melted. If there is no wax, replace it with paraffin. Store at a temperature of 0 - 4 ͦС.
The second method, how to preserve pollen, is very similar to the bee technology for making bee bread. Take two hundred and fifty ml. water and dissolve one hundred and fifty grams of honey in it. Heat strictly to 40 ° C. Mix a kilogram of dried pollen with prepared sweet water. Divide the resulting mass into clean glass jars, put in a warm place for six days for the fermentation process.The temperature should be 35-40 ͦС, after which the banks are closed. Store products in a cool and dry place.
Good health to you!
