Before cleaning the frosted glass ... (+ 2 videos)

Reliable old methods

Modern household chemicals are reliable. These are both special fluids and sprayers. But they require additional safety measures, work with gloves, or even a respirator. Allergies, a pungent smell in an apartment are not the most pleasant consequences of using special means. It is easier to rely on the old, still Soviet methods.

The following proven methods will help to successfully resolve the issue:

  1. Potato starch. It must be dissolved in water at the rate of 1 tbsp. spoon for 1 liter. Stir thoroughly until the grains disappear completely. Cold water should be used. Even dried dirt can be washed off with this product.
  2. Salt. If you rinse the window with its solution, then it will shine. Add 30-40 g of salt to a ten-liter bucket of water. Such a solution is good for use in autumn, and then in winter the windows will freeze less. The salt can be replaced with chalk, but then the glass will have to be wiped with more force.
  3. Potassium permanganate. Its weak solution copes well with dirt and leaves almost no streaks.
  4. Laundry soap without dyes and aroma additives. It needs to be finely chopped or grated, placed in warm water and stirred until foam appears. The soap solution removes dust and dirt well, but at the end of washing, you will need to wipe the surface with a dry cloth made of natural fabric.
  5. Kerosene. Although outdated, it is a very reliable tool. For 10 liters of water, you will need 3 tbsp. spoons of kerosene. There are no streaks after washing with this composition, but the smell will be present until the residues of the active substance completely evaporate.
  6. Ammonia. In a pure or slightly diluted form, it removes glue residues, paint, greasy stains, and soot well. If you add alcohol to the water, it will be much easier to clean the windows.
  7. Vinegar. Using its solution, you can return the old shine to the tarnished glass. For the same purpose, the washed window can be wiped with a soft cloth slightly dipped in linseed oil.
  8. Alcohol and glycerin in a combination of 1:20. Treatment with this combination protects glass surfaces from fogging.

What difficulties may arise

It may have a stain that can take some effort to clean. It can break easily under pressure. Then it is possible to put the glass on the dirty side horizontally, or carefully select the liquid for cleaning. Before physical cleaning, leave this liquid on dirty areas, and only then remove.

When cleaning a house, the difficulty can arise with glass.

Sometimes the liquid for cleaning is not very well selected and the glass literally "attracts" dirt. It is quite difficult to clean it and you often don’t want to do it.

Sometimes you need to tidy up glassware that has a narrow neck. Warm water is poured into it, and there are a couple of drops of cleaning liquid or eggshells. In this state, the dishes are left for a while, thereby shaking them up and, making sure that the bottom and walls of the vessel are clean, you can rinse it and dry it.

How to clean windows with special products

Modern sprays, foams, impregnated napkins help to quickly and without streaks wash windows from dust, raindrops, fingerprints, restore shine, and create a protective film.

Choice of household chemicals

When choosing a wiper, pay attention to the composition of the product. Spray containing ammonia is the best solution for stains and dirt.

The most popular and affordable are:

  1. Mr. Muscle - quickly removes even stubborn dirt, dissolves dirt. Has a pleasant, unobtrusive smell that quickly disappears. Spray can be used to bleach plastic window sills and slopes. The disadvantage is too much consumption.A 500 ml bottle can be bought for 200–250 rubles.
  2. Frosch - copes well with greasy marks, removes dirt, dust, streaks. Suitable for plastic surfaces, you can wash the slopes, window sill, the frames themselves. Price per package, volume 750 ml, 200-220 rubles.
  3. Help - suitable for frequent regular cleaning. Well removes standard dirt (dust, greasy prints), does not leave streaks, cloudy deposits. But it may not cope with heavy pollution on the street side. Disadvantages: has a pungent, poorly weathering "chemical" smell, evaporates from the surface for a long time. Price from 50 to 80 rubles.
  4. Synergetic is a liquid for cleaning glass, mirrors, any shiny surfaces. Produced from herbal ingredients and marked "Eco". Declared by the manufacturer as hypoallergenic, biodegradable. Helps to quickly wash windows, remove stains, restore shine. It has an antibacterial effect, pleasant smell, forms a protective film on glass, complies with SAN-PIN standards. A 500 ml package can be purchased for 150–170 rubles.
  5. Clin Windows & Glass is one of the most economical and affordable products. Gives a dense foam that removes grease and plaque from glass, leaving no streaks. The price for 500 ml of the product is 180-200 rubles.

How to wash properly so that there are no streaks

The quality of cleaning depends on how well it turns out to remove dirt and dust, as well as dry, polish the surface.

It is necessary to properly wash windows, even with special means, in several stages:

Remove all unnecessary, prepare detergents, tools.
Wash heavily soiled glass with warm water and soap. Clean the spaces between the frames, the frames themselves. Process the fittings.
Change water, wash again. Use a rubberized scraper or synthetic suede cloth to remove excess moisture.
Spray a pre-made glass cleaner on the windows. Use a scraper to scrape excess moisture down the glass in a Z-motion

Wipe the windows well with a soft cloth, paying attention to the corners, the joints between the frame and the glass.
Wipe dry frames, slopes, windowsill. Rinse the handles

Buff with newsprint or microfiber cloth for a shine.
If there is no special anti-fogging agent, treat the windows with an alcoholic solution of glycerin (1 tbsp per glass of vodka or 0.5 tbsp of ammonia diluted with water 1: 1)

Store-bought formulations may not cope with heavily soiled windows without pretreating the glass on both sides with water and ordinary soap. Street dirt is not easily washed off, leaves stains.

Glass cleaners

Glass surfaces are difficult to clean. The difficulty lies in choosing a product that will not only wash away, but also will not leave streaks and scratches on the surface. So, let's take a look at the list of products for cleaning car windows, frosted shower walls, windows and more.

Soap solution

You need to take a container, dissolve half a piece of soap there, pour hot water over everything. For rapid dilution, stir the solution until

Sometimes vegetable oil or glycerin is added to shine windows. It is vegetable oil that gives extra shine, and glycerin is a dirt-repellent component. You need to use a cloth for washing, bought specially in a store, or an ordinary one, but which does not scratch the surface. Apply the soap mixture directly with a rag, but the solution can be added to the spray bottle.

This option is not only simple but also economical.

Dishwashing detergents

Dishwashing detergents are also good for glass, especially those in the kitchen. This can be an oven or stove door, as well as a table, kettle, microwave. Here the stains are already more complex than on the windows: they are not easy from dust, but also from stains from food, fat, drinks and waste products. Therefore, dishwashing detergents are excellent for their ability to remove grease.

Add a couple of drops of detergent to a container with water and stir until a light foam appears. Next, use a rag, sponge or spray bottle to wet the surface. Shower walls can be cleaned, even matt ones.

In the household chemicals department, buy a product specifically for glass. But they are not always universal, since what fits in a car may not always fit in a microwave or glass kettle. Besides, it is more expensive in terms of money.

Vinegar solution

Mix 1 liter of water and 1 tablespoon of vinegar. All this is stirred. You can add 1 more scoop if desired. Vinegar is sometimes replaced with alcohol, or glycerin can be added or an aspirin tablet dissolved. Vinegar has a low concentration and it takes a lot of effort to clean something with it. But the result will be good.

If vinegar is mixed with water to wash the glass table, you can add essential oil, then it will be easier to wash without streaks. By the way, the essential oil smells good and will provide a pleasant smell in the room. Glycerin is added to repel dust and dirt particles from the table. After cleaning, it is better to wipe the surface dry so that dust and dirt do not settle out of the air and onto the wet surface. Also, if moisture is removed immediately, streaks will not form later.

Potassium permanganate

Most often, potassium permanganate is used with boiled warm water or added to a mixture with water, glycerin, vinegar. Housewives believe that potassium permanganate cleans any glass. And indeed it is. Especially suitable for tinted car windows.

Potassium permanganate is one of the oldest folk remedies. It cleanses really well, but, alas, is powerless against grease stains. Potassium permanganate is added to the water in a small amount - a few drops will be enough. It is also convenient for her to clean the walls of the shower. You can add a few drops of lemon juice to potassium permanganate - it will create an atmosphere of freshness, as it cleans the air.

It is forbidden to add citric acid instead of lemon - it is difficult to dissolve and grains can leave scratches.

Chalk mixture and bleach solution

Suitable mixture for cleaning frosted glass on showers and room doors. It is necessary to grind the chalk so that it is enough for 2 tablespoons and three tablespoons of bleach. Add all this to a liter of running water.

Apply the mixture to the contaminated areas using a spray bottle. You cannot use rags and sponges for this, you need to moisten abundantly. Then leave for a while and let dry. Remove dried residues with a soft cloth or paper napkin.

Windshield cleaning chemicals

It is better to wash the windshield with special sprays for cars.

You can clean the inside of the windshield in the car with a sponge and ordinary soapy water. But this option is best used for regular prophylaxis or to eliminate minor opacities.

Removing stubborn marks or treating clean glass at least once a year should be carried out using stronger detergents. For this purpose, you can purchase expensive formulations produced as special car cosmetics. It is believed that only they are able to cope with specific automotive pollution. But this is true, rather, for external surfaces, which are more often exposed to the external environment and gasoline with oil.

Simple detergents are also suitable for cleaning the inside:

  • Mr. Muscle;
  • Second;
  • Aquagel;
  • Liqui Moly.

For interior cleaning, it is more convenient to purchase detergents in spray bottles. They more accurately meter the amount of liquid applied to the glass and evenly cover the entire surface. The use of sprays prevents large amounts of cleaner from spilling onto foreign objects in the vehicle interior.

Industrial products can be produced with or without ammonia added to the composition. It is believed that it is harmful to car seat upholstery and plastics and impregnates the interior with an unpleasant odor. But this is true for high concentrations of ammonia, and small doses are added to the composition of the purifiers. According to numerous reviews of motorists, preparations containing ammonia are more effective on pollution than usual.

Contamination reasons

Reasons for frequent contamination of frosted glass surfaces include:

  1. Dried water droplets during water treatment, if the glass is in the bathroom.
  2. Soot and grease settling on matt furniture surfaces in kitchens.
  3. Remains of street dirt and exhaust fumes, if placed on a balcony or loggia.
  4. Dust settling in living rooms, children's rooms or bedrooms.

Cleaning frosted glass is not an easy task. During its production, processing of the top layer with a special compound is used, which gives the glass matte and uneven texture. Detergents containing abrasive components can simply destroy this spraying. Scrapers and newspaper cannot cope with dirt. This task can be solved only by sparing means.

It's important to know!

Before proceeding with the procedure for cleansing frosted glass from traces of grease, you should read the following information:

  1. Frosted glasses have a rather rare feature of their structure, which consists in a special surface coating. Due to this, it becomes so difficult to wash off the greasy stain on the frosted glass. This is due to the fact that microparticles of any substance in contact with the matte surface begin to penetrate into the microscopic depressions of the matte spray, which prevents one hundred percent cleaning using standard detergent components.
  2. It is much more difficult to wash out old grease stains on such glass than fresh stains. Therefore, it is recommended that you pay more attention to the care of frosted glass and try to remove all contaminants as soon as they appear.
  3. Using any cleaning component, first of all, you need to take care of preserving the skin of your handles and the respiratory system, therefore, the treatment procedure is recommended to be carried out with rubber gloves, opening all windows and doors, thereby providing free access to oxygen.
  4. Before applying a certain cleaning agent to the contaminated area, testing should be carried out on an inconspicuous area of the glass for the joint interaction of the components, and if nothing happened, then you can safely use the selected ingredient to eliminate the full treatment.

Necessary tools and tools

In the fall and spring, many housewives traditionally arrange a general cleaning, which includes washing the windows.

However, quite often you can hear calls to abandon the omnipotent household chemicals in favor of more environmentally friendly home remedies.

Indeed, the composition of ready-made glass cleaners sometimes contains substances that are unsafe for health.

By the way, additional information on how to properly clean windows will not hurt you even if you are used to using ready-made products for this purpose. Sometimes, even after processing with a special compound, ugly stains remain on the glasses.

It's good when, at any time of the year, every window in an apartment or house sparkles with cleanliness. And, whatever the design of the window in the kitchen or bedroom, perfect cleanliness will be its best decoration.

  • Before washing the windows, wear rubber household gloves so that intensive contact with moisture and detergents does not damage your skin.
  • Wipes for cleaning window glass and plastic frames, it is better to choose from microfiber or artificial suede: they perfectly absorb both moisture and dirt particles. But for washing wooden frames, a cotton rag is useful.
  • It is very convenient to use an accessory such as a water squeegee while cleaning windows - with it, excess detergent or water is removed from the glass. They are equipped with rubber blades that glide well over the glass surface.
  • A holder with a fur coat for washing windows, a distant relative of the familiar mop, will also be useful. A soft, but moderately abrasive coat, will easily remove old stains, traces of bird droppings and other stubborn dirt from the glass.

Procedure

  1. We pour clean water into a bucket, arm ourselves with a napkin and, squeezing it slightly, wipe the glass, removing the main accumulations of dirt and dust from them. You do not need detergents at this stage. Let the stains remain on the windows, you will deal with them a little later.
  2. We replace the dirty water in the bucket with clean water and now wash the sash. If it is heavily soiled, you can add a little shampoo or dishwashing gel to the water - these products will not do much harm to the wooden frames.
  3. The holder with a fur coat will help you deal with dirt much faster. Then we change the water again and once again thoroughly wipe the frames to the last corner.
  4. We take up the glass again. We apply a ready-made glass cleaner to them or process according to one of the "grandmother's recipes" (see below). If we are dealing with a cleaner, then we remove its remnants with a screed, and then wipe the glass with a synthetic cloth.
  5. If we use “grandmother's recipes”, then if necessary (see the information published below) we wash them off with clean water, and remove the remaining moisture with napkins.
  6. The final touch - we wipe the glass with crumpled old newspapers. There will be no trace of stains, and the glass will begin to shine beautifully.

How to wash

How to wash frosted glass from greasy stains? It all depends on the old age of the pollution. If the stain is fresh, simple methods will do. Sometimes you have to fight the old ones in several stages.

Fresh stains

How to wash frosted glass on doors? There are several homemade remedies available.

  1. A solution of ammonia. Dissolve two tablespoons of the substance per liter of water. Soak a cloth in the solution and rub the soiled areas. It is necessary to wipe frosted glass in this way from both sides. Then wipe them off with a dry cloth. Remember to ventilate the area well after using ammonia.
  2. A vinegar solution. It must be prepared in the same way as alcohol. You can add salt to the mixture. Apply a glass cleaner.
  3. Laundry soap, rubbed and dissolved in water.
  4. Potassium permanganate.
  5. Means for the care of metal-plastic windows. It is gentle, so it will not damage the matte finish. At the same time, it cleans everything well.
  6. Acetone.
  7. Baking soda or soda ash.

It is better to use a suede rag as a cloth. It will not slip on the surface, making cleaning easier. You can also use a rubber trowel.

They usually work well on greasy finger stains, especially if they are fairly fresh. But sometimes paint, oil and grease get on the frosted glass (if the door is located in the kitchen), glue from scotch tape, with which they could glue something. These contaminants are difficult to remove, especially if they have time to get old. In such cases, special methods are required.

Before cleaning the frosted glass from greasy stains, take care of the safety of the silicone seals. So that they do not suffer from aggressive mixtures and do not cease to perform their functions, you can seal them with paper or polyethylene.

Apply the product directly to the stain, and while rinsing, already touch the entire glass. This will allow more of the cleaning mixture to land on the oily areas and be more effective.

Old footprints

How to clean frosted glass from oily stains from the kitchen? Try out methods suitable for fresh soil first. If they do not help, proceed with the following methods.

Cretaceous mixture. How to cook it? Take two tablespoons of crushed chalk and stir in one liter of water. Pour over the glass with the resulting mixture. You can do this with a spray bottle. After the glasses are dry, remove the chalk ball with paper, a stiff rag or scraper

Do this carefully so as not to damage the glass. It removes glue especially well.
Bleach solution

It is prepared and used according to the same principle as the chalk mixture.
Dishwashing detergents. They do an excellent job with fat, while they do not contain components that damage frosted glass. But their use also has a disadvantage - a large amount of foam. It will take a lot of effort to wash it off.
"Mister Muscle". This tool is able to deal with fairly complex pollution. Many praise it for its effectiveness and safety in use.
Mixes Ajax, Pril. They work well, just remember to wipe the base thoroughly with water.
PROFOAM 3000. Use it to remove tape marks and stickers.
Carpet shampoo.
Steam cleaners. These are irons, vacuum cleaners and other appliances. With their help, frosted glass is processed with steam, the impurities on it dissolve under the influence of humid air and high temperature. If the appliance also has a continuous suction function, then cleaning will be perfect at all. If this function is not available, you can wipe the glass with a damp and then dry cloth after the steam treatment.

To achieve the maximum effect, it is worth using several means. Just do it not immediately, but in turn. First, soak the dirt on the glass well. To do this, use well warm water. Leave everything as it is for a few minutes. Next, you can apply dishwashing detergent or chalk solution. Afterwards, wipe the glass with alcohol or store-bought alcohol. According to reviews, ordinary alcohol helps no worse than ammonia, while it is safe for others. Some use a window cleaner to complete the operation.

Step-by-step instruction

To clean the frosted glass, just a few steps are enough:

  1. Dip a sponge or soft cloth in warm, clean water.
  2. Apply the cleaner to the stained areas and rub gently.
  3. The final step is to remove residues and polish with dry cloth.

Wash the frosted glass on the doors with the utmost care: do not allow strong drips, do not press on the edge, trying to clean a thin strip along the strip. Otherwise, it is easy to ruin the door, squeeze or shatter the glass.

A fresh stain is easier to remove. Therefore, it is recommended to process the matte surface immediately.

How can frosted glass be washed

There are several effective means to clean the door surface from dirt. Some products can be purchased at a specialty store, and some can be made by yourself.

The most effective remedies

The glass cleaner contains an alcohol solution. It not only removes grease stains, but also disinfects the surface. Depending on the type of contamination, one of the following can be used:

  1. "Mister Muscle". Suitable for light dirt, dust and pencil drawings.
  2. GT-20. The detergent is more aggressive, therefore it is advisable to use gloves and ventilate the area. Designed to polish surfaces and remove stubborn dirt in glass pores.
  3. Pril. Gentle gel cleaner that perfectly removes grease and stubborn dirt. Apply the gel in a thick layer and let it sit for 5 minutes. Then wipe with a damp sponge and remove any remaining dirt.
  4. Ajax. This agent is added to the steam cleaner and removed dried dirt using high temperatures. In addition, the hot steam disinfects the surface without damaging the door varnish.Remember that glass doesn't like high temperatures.
  5. Dishwashing gels. If the door is stained, use a non-abrasive detergent such as dish gel. But the method has its drawbacks. If you do not rinse the surface well and a little product remains on the glass, then after drying, the glass will be covered with a white film or stains. For a perfect, shiny finish, use a wipe or cotton cloth at the end of cleaning.
  6. Nail polish remover or acetone. Not a bad option, but remember that if acetone gets on the paint or varnished surface, then bleached areas will form on it.
  7. Alcohol or vodka. Even our grandmothers and mothers in the Soviet years used alcohol to wipe glasses and showcases of sideboards. Vodka can degrease any surface, including a rough one. Be sure to make sure that the alcohol solution does not get on the rubberized, rubberized tabs: alcohol corrodes the material, which then becomes quite brittle. Use ammonia. It can always be found in the medicine cabinet and, besides, it is quite economical.

Before buying a chemical, read what is written on the back of the package. There is a category of funds that have a red triangle sign. This means that the use of this type of liquid in a domestic environment is prohibited.

Folk remedies

In the Soviet years, when nothing was sold on the shelves, our women found a way out and made the solutions themselves.

The most common method is using a vinegar solution. To do this, add vinegar to cool water until a characteristic smell appears. Put on gloves and treat the surface. Vinegar cleans fingerprints, eliminates unpleasant odors. Please note that this method is undesirable for asthmatics and people suffering from allergic reactions.

The best way to check for cleanliness is to rub it with your finger. If you hear a pleasant crunch, then the surface is perfectly clean.

Folk recipes

Not everyone trusts industrial "chemistry", and sometimes it is simply not at hand. How else can you wash frosted glass?

  • A vinegar solution. Prepares in warm water; concentration is weak. It is enough to remove minor impurities, and it can completely replace the same "Mister Muscle". But it is used only after cooling.
  • Chalk solution. The effect is similar to the use of store-bought drugs such as "PRIL". It washes away drops of glue and fat well. The recipe is simple - for a liter of water 2 tbsp. spoons. After thorough mixing, the mixture is sifted and the solution is applied to the surface by spraying. A simple household spray will do. After drying with a napkin, soft cloth, even a sheet of paper, the chalk is removed, and with it the dirt.
  • A solution of ammonia. Diluted in the proportion of tablespoon / glass. Perfectly cleans small stains and streaks on frosted glass.

Folk recipes

There are several folk remedies available to help clean matte glass surfaces.

Ammonia

The most popular cleaning agent for coated glass is ammonia. It is used to prepare a detergent that effectively fights almost any stains. To prepare a solution, 10 milliliters of ammonia is added to a liter of water. The mixture is sprayed with a spray bottle and rubbed with a cloth. After that, the wiped coating is washed with cold water.

Vinegar 9%

Experts advise using vinegar liquid for washing glass. It will help get rid of ordinary dust and wipe away stubborn oily specks. To prepare the solution, add a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar to a glass of water. Then a rag is moistened in the solution and the door is wiped with it. To prevent the coating from smelling like vinegar, wash it again with soapy water.

Baking soda and soda ash

Sometimes vinegar and ammonia do not help clean the glass surface from dirt and you have to use soda ash and baking soda. It is added to water in a ratio of one to five, after which a matte product is treated with a soda mixture. You can also not dissolve the baking soda, but simply rub it into the surface, rinse it with water and wipe it off with a dry towel.

Crushed chalk or starch

If a lot of dirt appears on the glass surface, you can use starch or chalk powder, from which a cleaning solution is prepared. To do this, add 45 grams of the substance to 500 milliliters of water, after which the liquid is thoroughly mixed. Then a cloth cloth is soaked in a container with the mixture and a glass is wiped with it. The remains of chalk are wiped off with a regular dry sponge or cloth.

Denatured alcohol, vodka and cologne

An effective dirt cleaner can be made with cologne, regular vodka, and denatured alcohol. All components are mixed in equal amounts. Then the liquid is evenly applied to the dirty surface and left for 10-15 minutes to soak in the dirt. After that, the remnants of dirty tracks are wiped off with a rag dipped in water.

Steam

Sometimes people do not want to use cleaning fluids and instead steam the frosted glass. For this, a special steam generator is used, which not only removes dirt, but also degreases the door. Steam treatment should last for five minutes. Then wipe the cleaned surface with a dry cloth to remove moisture residues.

Chalk mixture and bleach solution

When cleaning matte surfaces, it is recommended to use a solution prepared from bleach. He is able to cleanse it of dirt and absorbed grease. To create a mixture, 20 grams of lime and 25 grams of grated chalk are added to 800 milliliters of water.

Potassium permanganate

A manganese solution can be used to combat stubborn stains. During the preparation of such an effective manganese mixture, 55 grams of manganese are added to a liter of boiled water. The solution is stirred until it turns a dark reddish color. A sponge is moistened in the prepared liquid and the surface of the door glass is wiped with it.

Proven ways to clean your mirror without streaks

There are different ways to remove dust and dirt from mirror surfaces. Consider those that are used for any type of reflective glass.

Bathroom mirror

The increased level of humidity contributes to the gradual tarnishing of the mirror. To prevent the phenomenon, you need to use a special mixture based on melted wax and turpentine. The solution is prepared at a rate of 1: 2, applied to the back of the glass. To prevent fogging, the hinged mirror is pasted over with plastic tape along the contour. Another option is to smear the accessory on the back with oil paint.

Step-by-step washing sequence:

  1. Wipe with a dry cloth.
  2. Wipe down with a damp (not wet!) Cloth.
  3. Rinsing the mirror sheet.
  4. Treatment with a cleaning agent.

You can add shine with a proven folk remedy: sprinkle with lemon juice and leave for 10 minutes, wipe with a dry piece of gauze. Dissolved citric acid in water will wash away stubborn stains.

Effectively removes dirty deposits from raw potatoes cut in half. Reflective glass is wiped with a half of a vegetable, then rinsed and wiped dry. To add shine, soak a cotton towel in milk and polish the surface.

You can wash a dull mirror at home and return it to its original shine if you dilute the blue in water, moisten a tissue flap in the solution, wash the canvas and then wipe it dry.

Table vinegar essence mixed with water in equal proportions will help to remove lime spots. After processing with the mixture, the reflective glass should be cleaned with a soft dry cloth.

Use ammonia to shine your bathroom. If you wipe down the shower stall and polish it with sheets of newspaper, you can remove the soap stains that remain after you shower.

Use wet wipes to clean mirror surfaces - wet ones leave soapy streaks.

Mirror in the closet, in the rooms

The home way to clean the mirror surface is with water and newsprint (toilet paper). If it didn't work, there are other options.

The glass is wiped with a nylon stocking soaked in a mixture of salt water and strong tea. To prepare the solution, a teaspoon of table salt is added to a glass of tea, which was brewed for 10-15 minutes.

A cleansing paste will help remove dirty stains. 1 glass of water is mixed in a refractory container with 1 tbsp. tooth powder or crushed chalk (can be replaced with toothpaste) and 1 tbsp. vinegar, heated over low heat, then infused for 20 minutes. The liquid must be drained, the paste must be applied to the mirror sheet in the cabinet. Finally, the surface is rubbed with a piece of suede fabric.

Traces of grease and cosmetics are removed with a soft sponge moistened with vodka. Other alcohol-containing liquids (lotion, perfume, cologne) have similar properties - just sprinkle the stains with them and wipe the desired area with a non-hard sponge.

You can tidy up the dirty areas of the surface with the help of the tea leaves left over from the preparation of green tea.

Onions remove insect marks (cockroaches and flies). The onion is cut in half, the juice is rubbed into the glass, which is then cleaned with a cloth.

To prevent dust from entering the mirrors, they are lubricated with glycerin. It creates an inconspicuous film on the surface that prevents contamination.

With constant care of the products, it is enough to wipe them with a dry cloth twice a month. If the contamination is insignificant, then it is not necessary to use special detergents.
