After placing the seeds in wet sawdust, when creating the recommended factors, after 3-4 days the first green borings will appear. Then it will be time to add 3-4 mm of loose, non-acidic soil to each pot and continue to maintain its high moisture content. Soil preparation before planting seedlings

• you cannot grow cauliflower in the same place where the previous crop was eaten by pests or carried diseases;

Having decided on the place, you need to prepare the ground. In the fall, after the harvest is harvested, the garden is well dug up. Humus compost is added to the loosened soil at the rate of 5 buckets per square meter and 50 g each, diluted in a solution, potassium and phosphorus for the same area. After that, the garden is dug up again and sprinkled with poplar foliage, leaving to winter.

In the spring, when a strong healthy seedling of cauliflower is already ready in the greenhouse, the prepared section of the garden is dug up, forming into beds.On each bed, holes are made measuring 70 cm by 25 cm, at a short distance from each other. The next step is to fill each well with this mixture:

• 2 handfuls of humus;
• 2 large spoons of organic mineral fertilizer;
• 2 tablespoons of wood ash.

The beds are now ready for planting cauliflower seedlings. Each seedling, together with a lump of earth on its young roots, is placed in a fertilized hole, covered with loose earth and watered with 1 liter of warm water. After all the seedlings are planted, the beds are "wrapped" in mulch and covered with non-woven material. This will protect the seedlings from temperature extremes and pests.

Caring for the future harvest of cauliflower

It is very important that the soil under the cabbage is always moist and loose. This needs to be controlled and mulch used for these purposes. Under such an organic layer, the soil stays wet longer and compresses more slowly. Besides, mulch prevents unwanted weeds from growing abundantly.

• Cauliflower loves sunlight. And even a slight partial shade can cause a purple hue of ripe cabbage heads. And also, in order to avoid dark spots on the inflorescences, watering should be done only under the root, and not pour on the fruits from above.
• For a good harvest, cauliflower must be fed three times during the entire ripening process:
• 2 weeks after planting seedlings in open ground, the beds are fertilized with mullein solution;
• 2 weeks after the first feeding, it is repeated, but with mineral fertilizers;
• When cabbage heads begin to form, the beds are saturated with potassium sulfate.
