It is also rich in vitamin C, which provides it with excellent immunostimulating and general strengthening effects.
Thus, growing this plant in your garden will be very useful and not too difficult, however, before planting purslane, you need to find out basic information about this plant and the conditions for its cultivation.
Purslane refers to annual plants and its reproduction occurs with the help of seeds, which are formed in the capsules that appeared after the flowering of the purslane. You can plant purslane both with seeds and seedlings previously grown in separate boxes.
Before planting purslane, it is necessary to loosen the soil for it and outline the rows for sowing seeds. Since purslane belongs to creeping plants, the length of which is about 60 cm, the distance between the rows of sowing should be about 60 cm. It is necessary to sow in the soil, which has already warmed up a little in the sun. This is usually done in early May.
As for caring for purslane, like most other plants, it is necessary to loosen mail and remove weeds. Purslane greens can be cut for consumption as early as 3 weeks after planting.
