Dracaena bamboo of happiness: plant care
The plant, which is known among lovers of "green pets" as dracaena bamboo of happiness, actually has nothing to do with real bamboo. In fact, this plant is called Dracaena Sanderian, and it was nicknamed bamboo for its extraordinary similarity with this plant.
Dracaena bamboo of happiness fell in love with flower growers both for its exotic beauty and for its extreme unpretentiousness. If you plant this indoor flower in a suitable soil, water it well, feed it and transplant it from time to time, it will delight you with a rich green shade of juicy leaves and beautiful bizarrely curved stems.
So, dracaena Sanderian feels best in soil that has very good drainage. Large oval stones should be placed in the lower part of the pot (if desired, they can be replaced with coarse sand), and at the top it must be filled with ordinary earth for flowers, mixed with peat and granulate. This plant can also be grown in water, but in this case, it will be necessary to regularly add special baits and mineral fertilizers to the liquid, otherwise the dracaena leaves will acquire an unpleasant yellowish tint due to a lack of nutrients. This type of dracaena requires more frequent and abundant watering: the soil in the pot should never dry out. It is also advisable to periodically wipe the leaves of the plant. As for the transplant, for the dracaena it will be enough to move it annually to new soil, which must be carried out in the spring.
I have been looking at this "bamboo" for a long time. But in our stores it is not, so you have to order it on the Internet or ask your friends who breed it.
