How to care for a Chinese rose at home
For my last year's April anniversary, I received such a wonderful gift for the first time - a huge flowerpot with a blooming Chinese rose. According to the donor, this is a very unpretentious flower to care for, growing in tropical latitudes and therefore preferring a lot of light, moisture and space.
I did not experiment with my wonderful gift and, in order to avoid mistakes, I thoroughly studied how to care for a Chinese rose.
The basic rules of care include:
- From mid-spring to mid-autumn, water the plant regularly and make sure that some moisture is retained in the soil. In winter, moderate watering is required;
- Provide diffused light, do not allow direct sunlight, especially midday;
- Every 3 weeks from April to August, feed the Chinese rose with special fertilizers for indoor plants with flowers;
- Achieve indoor humidity by spraying;
- The transplant should be carried out in early to mid-spring, using the following mixture as soil - sod, peat, leaf parts are mixed with sand in different proportions.
- Reproduction is carried out by the stem-cuttings method.
