Fatty purslane - home tree
Many indoor plants have in their history various beliefs that have developed for some reason, be it a fairy tale, the similarity of a plant or its parts to something, or some properties inherent in a given plant. Here is a fatty purslane in common parlance called a money tree.
This plant got this middle name because of the similarity of its leaves with coins. Crassula's tree is literally strewn with leaves, which, as the belief says, lure money to the owner of the plant. Whether or not such a belief is fair or not, everyone finds out for himself. But crassula can be found on many windows.
This plant belongs to the jumbo family, of which there are quite a few - more than 300 species. Among these succulents, there are both crumbs, not exceeding a few centimeters in height, and real "gullivers".
The purslane fat woman differs from its relatives in growth - even in nature it is rather low. And its dark green fleshy leaves have a dark red border around the edge.
Caring for a fat woman is simple, but it requires compliance with several conditions. First, the fat woman loves sunlight. Therefore, it is best to choose solar windows for growing it, although it can grow successfully in any sufficient lighting. Like all succulents, Crassula does not like stagnant water - the plant can rot and die. Therefore, it is necessary to water it only as the soil dries up. This is especially true in the cold season, when it is necessary to water the Crassula once every two weeks, draining excess water from the sump.
It is necessary to transplant the fatty purslane only when it becomes very cramped in the pot.
Good luck!
