Cineraria is silvery. Growing and care
There is an unusual plant in the Astera family - silvery cineraria (or wild rose). Its decorative properties are not in inflorescences, but in beautiful, as if covered with frost, fluffed leaves. Due to its luxurious appearance, this bush is of great value in the design of personal plots, terraces and balconies. It looks very beautiful in combination with other plants, framed by stones and various floristic compositions.
Cineraria is unpretentious. Most often it is grown as an annual, but in areas with a mild climate, it sometimes hibernates, and is renewed in spring. You can grow this amazing silvery greens from seeds (sowing them in boxes in May) or cuttings. Some growers leave the stalk in a glass of water for the whole winter, and during this time the grower manages to grow good roots.
It is possible to plant in open ground only when it is already warm outside. Cineraria silvery comes from the Mediterranean, so it loves the sun or light partial shade. Prefers fertile soil, which should be loosened from time to time. The plant will not refuse feeding either.
The flowers of this variety are quite inconspicuous, yellow and small. But the foliage shimmers and shines in the sun. Sometimes lacy bushes remind of the fairy tale of the Snow Queen or just frosty patterns on the window, which we all loved to see as children.
If your space is limited (growing in a pot, etc.), then from time to time the grub will have to be cut. He knows how to build up painfully long branches.
