Pepper Red bull - an unpretentious giant
Bell peppers are a popular vegetable garden. Naturally, every gardener strives to cultivate high-yielding varieties of this plant with large fruits. Red Bull Pepper is one of them. Its fruits grow up to 30 cm in length and can weigh up to 400 g. Wide fleshy thick-walled (up to 8 cm) peppers of bright red color, subject to agricultural technology, cover the bushes so abundantly that they even have to be tied up, otherwise they fall or break. Gardeners are well aware that other varieties do not need a garter.
Pepper Red bull belongs to vigorous varieties (up to 1.5 meters) with an average ripening period. The variety is suitable for indoor and outdoor use. In the middle lane, it is grown in seedlings. Fruits are set even in poor lighting conditions, for example, in winter greenhouses, and are characterized by high keeping quality. Red Bull pepper is genetically resistant to potato virus and tobacco mosaic virus. The yield is about 9 kg per sq.m. It is better to harvest the fruits at the stage of technical ripeness, when they are light green, otherwise the bushes may not withstand their weight, there is also a risk of pest damage. Until red (biological ripeness) during storage.
When growing bell peppers, it is necessary to ensure that there is no excess nitrogen in the soil, otherwise the plant will shed flowers and ovaries. Pepper Red Bull is an F1 hybrid, therefore it is not suitable for seed preparation. Its descendants will have unpredictable properties, may have a different appearance, taste and worse yield.
In the picture it seems that bitter pepper - and by the name of the variety - bull - would not have thought that this is my favorite sweet pepper :)
