The resulting empty space is filled with cement, and the structure is left for a week until completely cured.

When the mortar becomes solid, the formwork is disassembled, the inner container is removed. It turns out a concrete container for garbage, which still needs to be processed before use. Irregularities and sharp corners are sanded off with a grinder, the inner surfaces are covered with bitumen or tar to prevent rotting. Outside, the container can be painted or finished with stones using cement.

Next, the triangular ends are bent towards the center to obtain an even taper and the resulting joints are welded together. For ease of emptying, a U-shaped piece of metal sheet is welded at the bottom, which will serve as a handle.

Holes are drilled in the upper part of the finished tank and stand, the parts are connected with bolts and nuts. The finished assembly is cleaned with sandpaper and painted with powder paint. The joints with the legs must be protected with a coating of copper, graphite or lithium grease.

Instead of a profile for the stands, you can use iron pipes or corners. When you need to cut large workpieces, it is better to use electric shears for sheet metal.

If you don't have a welding machine, you can make a trash can from a water barrel. First, remove rust from the surface, dry it, apply a primer and paint. You can put a trash bag inside for easier emptying of the container. If the barrel is too high, you can reduce the length using a circular saw.

The old barrel can be converted to an incinerator. To do this, you need to punch 5-6 holes in the housing. This will create a strong draft when the waste is burned, which will reduce the emission of harmful substances into the air. It is allowed to burn garbage in this way on personal plots if the territory is not adjacent to agricultural land.

Requirements for MSW and MSW sites

In the aforementioned law, MSW terminology serves primarily to distinguish between types of waste and, accordingly, norms and tariffs for ordinary people and businesses. Obviously, entrepreneurs and organizations with a large staff, in the course of their activities, throw out much more garbage than an ordinary resident.

The container site is organized by local utilities. When installing and maintaining these territories, they should be guided by the requirements enshrined in the instructions “Sanitary rules for maintaining the territory of settlements SanPin 42-128-4690-88. These include:

1. Mandatory in the area of ​​residential buildings, there must be fenced, at least from three sides, special areas. The height of the fence should be at least 1–1.5 m so that the debris is not blown into the surrounding area by the wind. The location must be such that there is free passage for the garbage truck. There should be no vegetation within a radius of 10 meters.
2. Garbage collectors should be located at a distance of at least 20 meters from residential buildings, children's and sports grounds, but not more than 100 meters.
3. Garbage containers should be installed on a concrete or asphalt base at a height of 10–20 cm above ground level so that rain streams do not fall under them. Closing tanks are required.
4. The number of storage bins depends on the number of houses located nearby. On average, the size of the site should be between 3 and 5 waste containers.
5. Garbage should be removed daily, and containers should be cleaned and treated with disinfectants, at least once every 10 days, except in winter.
6. Possibility of installing covered fences for private sector owners.

Requirements for containers

According to the technical requirements, the manufacturer uses the working drawing of the waste container in its manufacture. Violating it is unacceptable. From a large list of requirements, it is worth considering the main points:

• tanks must comply with the climatic version UHL1 in accordance with GOST 15150-69, have a reinforced upper edge and walls for safe unloading by a loader;
• according to the requirements for containers, solid waste must be watertight for the entire height of tanks for organic matter and for 1/3 of the height for containers for non-food waste;
• damage to the walls is unacceptable, the presence of diagonal distortions of more than 8 mm.

The painting of the container must comply with GOST standards, if there is a lid, then a gap between the body of 4 mm is allowed in the closed state.

Waste container classification by purpose

For collection and storage of municipal solid waste (MSW)

Plastic and metal containers are suitable for collecting municipal waste. They are installed on special sites and in garbage chambers. Bunker for transportation of bulky waste (KGM)

1. Container (another name for press compactors). The machine consists of a hopper, in which garbage is collected, as well as a hydraulic press, which squeezes each portion of the waste. They produce a mobile and stationary version of the unit.
2. Briquetting. They allow you to compress the loaded garbage by three quarters of the original volume. At the end of pressing, compact briquettes come out, ready for further processing.
3. Baling. They are used to compress plastic bottles, aluminum cans, waste paper and other materials. They are used at points of reception of recyclable materials, shops, hotels. At the exit from the press, a compact briquette is obtained, ready for further transportation of waste to the disposal site.

Some models have a crushing device, which allows debris to be compacted more strongly.

Waste transport containers

Transportation of industrial waste, waste of industrial enterprises, equivalent to MSW and construction waste, is produced by special containers with a rope or hook grip. Pursuing the "garbage" reform, on January 1, 2019, a new law on sorting garbage before disposal came into force. At the same time, a presidential order was signed to establish the Russian Regional Operator. Thus, the state took control of the collection, storage and disposal of household waste.
