Varieties of ratchet wrenches
Many are familiar with conventional wrenches, but they are not always convenient when working in confined spaces.
The ratchet is a comfortable chrome-plated steel grip with a ratchet head at one end. A special mechanism allows, without making any special efforts, to unscrew any fasteners in a very narrow place.
Ratchet wrenches can be classified into the following types:
- captive - similar to similar nut ones, but due to the presence of a ratchet mechanism, they are convenient for working in hard-to-reach places;
- for socket heads - very much in demand in car repair and maintenance services;
- with a hinge installed between the head and the handle, which allows the tool to be used at any angle;
- combined with a movable head for operations with threaded connections, access to which is limited.
Devices with a ratchet mechanism are irreplaceable helpers both in everyday life and in professional fields.

Sets
A set of hand tools is a set of devices necessary both in everyday life and when performing specific work on the repair of machinery, equipment, transport.
The usual set includes packaging - a box, case or other variety with all the contents: a tool, keys, additional accessories to them.
Depending on the filling of the package, the sets are divided into types:
- professional series: universal, automotive or special kits;
- household series: for homework, amateur tools for motorists, radio technicians, and the like;
- a series of the same type of tool (for example, wrenches), but of different sizes.
Each set must include keys in one combination or another. Most often, there are kits, which are a compact plastic case, the internal space of which is planned in such a way that each element has its own strictly defined place. The complete set of a standard case, as a rule, includes:
- wrenches of several types with different parameters;
- ratchet with heads, the size range of which in most cases ranges from 8 to 24 mm;
- bits.
Hand Tool Overview
The most popular type in this category is wrenches. There are many varieties of them, but they are all subdivided into the following types:
- carob - outwardly resemble the horns of an animal, there are one- and two-sided;
- slip-on - all-metal construction, the ends of which are rings of different diameters;
- combined - a combination on one handle of an open-end wrench and a spanner wrench;
- adjustable - a type of carob, the distance between the jaws of which can be changed to the required size;
- end - they are, as a rule, L-shaped with a depression of different sizes at the end;
- with a ratchet - with a ratchet mechanism that allows you not to flip the key and turn it at a small angle, are relevant when performing work in cramped conditions; pipe - a universal version with sliding jaws;
- hexagonal - rolled steel with a hexagonal section in the shape of the letter "G";
- tubular - a tube, the ends of which are shaped like a hexagon.
Tubular keys are:
- L-shaped - one of the ends is bent at a right angle;
- spark plugs - specially for car spark plugs.
