Manufacturers and their models
A winter suit of this type is usually created on the basis of membrane fabrics that reliably cover from wind and cold
But it is important to understand that with strong warming, this clothing option is not suitable. For its manufacture, the following materials can be used:
- thermotex (high-density material that instantly restores its structure);
- alova material (a combination of multilayer textiles with membrane fabrics);
- "Cat's eye" - the most advanced version, resistant even to severe frost.
The summer type of "slide" is a classic, suitable for various purposes. This costume is suitable as outerwear and in addition to it. Cotton fabric is taken as a basis, the threads of which are twisted in a special way. It turns out something like an individual tent. Outwardly, the summer "slide" looks like it was made of ordinary tarpaulin. It is often used in the forest-steppe zone.
Demi-season suits are made using cotton fabric with an additional layer of insulation. Cloak fabric trim is often used. Optimal thermoregulation is guaranteed.
A camouflage robe can also be worn over it.
Firm "SoyuzSpetsOsnaschenie" adheres to the classic style. Its products are partly similar to the uniforms of Hitler's special forces. But the real "Gorka 5" is produced by the "Splav" company. These products use internal neoprene elbow pads and knee pads. The most recent versions are reinforced at the most vulnerable points.
The demi-season version on fleece also deserves attention. This product is optimized for use in violent weather. The lining is made in the manner of a vest and is fastened from the inside. By default, such a product is black. It is suitable for hunting and fishing.
Modification "Gorka 5 Rip-Stop" from KE Tactical is designed for height from 1.7 to 1.88 m. At the same time, sizes range from 40 to 58. It also uses a fleece vest lining with a density of 0.18 kg per 1 m². There are 8 pockets on the jacket and 6 pockets on the trousers. The thickness of the knee pads and elbow pads is 8 mm. Hats and chevrons need to be purchased additionally.
The "Storm" variant has the following features:
- Includes a loose-fitting jacket and matching trousers;
- protects from strong winds and temperature changes;
- equipped with suspenders.
Unfortunately, it is very difficult to find such suits produced by the Bars company. On the official sites, they are not mentioned or are absent in catalogs. But demi-season female models of the Triton firm are popular. They are calculated for autumn and spring use (together with thermal underwear up to -5 degrees). The lining is made of a combination of fleece and taffeta, the product itself is dyed brown.
Adherents of the Stalker firm can also buy such a suit. This suit uses 65% polyester with the remaining 35% cotton. The hood is pulled down to your liking. The jacket is pulled down from the bottom. Additional decorative elements are not provided.
Differences also apply to the colors of the products. Coloring to cartoons is popular. This American camouflage can be used for hunting, fishing.
The python variant is a whole set of blurry, smoothly flowing colors into each other. The natural prototype is the skin of reptiles. Moss camouflage suits are useful for law enforcement agencies, security units, as well as for hunting, fishing and tourism.
Peculiarities
The history of the Gorka 5 costume is simple and instructive at the same time.After the introduction of troops into Afghanistan, it turned out that the typical ammunition could not cope with the specific conditions of this country. And therefore, in 1981, a new outfit of special forces appeared - the first version of the "Gorka" suit. As new materials and technological solutions appeared, new versions were created. A product such as Gorka 5 is the latest version of the suit, which fully complies with the most advanced developments in other countries.
Of course, the equipment of the special forces should provide the following:
- the fastest possible readiness for battle;
- performance of duties in any climatic, geographical and operational-tactical conditions;
- fulfillment of the assigned task both in a team and in an independent mode;
- full life support of military personnel.
Moving in combat conditions and conditions close to them makes you have a lot of weapons and ammunition, and other property. All this should be as functional as possible and accessible to the owner. A good uniform will protect you from dust and smoke, from the wind.
The following features are no less important:
- release of hands;
- relatively small mass;
- the ability to move quietly and outwardly unnoticed.
The manufacturer claims that this suit has the following features:
- differs in volume control;
- made of rip-stop fabric;
- reinforced in places of the most probable deformation;
- equipped with anti-mosquito net;
- produced in summer, winter and demi-season versions;
- suitable for hunting, fishing and extreme outdoor activities.

The Gorka costume has many variations. Let's consider the most common models.
Black demi-season luxury suit "Gorka" on fleece is made of "Greta-T" material, which contains 54% cotton and 46% polyester, and is also equipped with rip-stop inserts (65% cotton and 35% polyester). The suit consists of a jacket and trousers with soft suspenders. The jacket is sewn of mixed material. The polyester thread is on the outside, which contributes to the flawless and easy removal of dirt and provides high wear resistance. And there is also a water-repellent impregnation.
The hood is removable, the volume is adjustable with a drawstring. There are 2 patch pockets on the chest, there are also patch pockets in the waist area, fastened with buttons. A small patch pocket is sewn on the right shoulder. The trousers are straight cut with overlays on the knees, saddle and shins. The trousers are loose, do not hinder movement, fastened with a lock and buttons. There is an elastic band in the calf and waist area. The trousers have 6 pockets: 2 on the back, 2 large in the knee area and 2 inset in the waist area. The size chart of the suit starts from 40 and ends with 66. Can be sewn in other colors: moss and cartoons.
Care and storage
It is not recommended to wash many versions of the Gorka suit in household machines. This will lead to loss of color, strong blotting.
Shedding can be prevented by soaping the contaminated area with a solution of laundry soap. Then this foam is rubbed with a moderately stiff brush, and finally the foam layer is washed off with water (warm or cold - it does not matter).
If, nevertheless, it is decided to wash the suit, all zippers and other fasteners must be closed. Do not forget about valves and belts. There should be no foreign things in pockets and inside clothes. For washing, use only water up to +30 degrees. If there is no laundry soap, baby or liquid powder can be used.
Do not use bleaches or stain removers. The suit is turned inside out and soaked for 3-4 hours. A small amount of cleaning agent is added immediately. When there are no visible spots, it is advisable to completely abandon the powder. Heavy rubbing is not recommended, as is the use of particularly hard brushes.
After washing the "slide", it must be thoroughly rinsed, otherwise creases and streaks will appear.The suit must be wrung out gently. You can increase the waterproofness of the suit with the help of special shampoos. The only machine wash option includes the following features:
- delicate program;
- temperature up to +40 degrees;
- refusal to spin (in extreme cases - 400 or 500 revolutions);
- double rinse;
- rejection of powders and other detergents.
Drying is possible only in a warm, well-ventilated area. The suit is straightened and all folds are removed. Only natural drying will completely restore the coating. Avoid direct sunlight. It is also necessary to adhere to the following recommendations:
- regularly clean clothes from dust and dry dirt;
- control the condition of the fittings;
- the suit should be placed in special storage covers.

History of creation
The Gorka suit is almost 40 years old. But many consider it to be the prototype of the design of its German relative, which was worn by the huntsmen during the Second World War.
Despite this, the soldiers of the Soviet army began to use the Gorka costume during the Afghan war. The military uniform available at that time did not save Afghanistan from the difficult weather conditions, in addition, a new color was needed, corresponding to the mountainous terrain.
After so many years, Gorka costumes began to be produced even more, they were also used in other spheres of life. The popularity not only does not fall, but is constantly growing. There are more manufacturers, and the materials are improving.

How to choose?
Of course, we must give preference to the products of well-known companies. In this case, you should still require an official certificate. The size is selected strictly individually. It is worth remembering that in winter the required size is slightly larger.
Pay attention to temperature conditions. In wooded and swampy areas, as well as in autumn and winter, protection from moisture and wind is critically important
Camouflage recommendations:
For protection from precipitation and wind, a hood is very relevant. If there is one, it is useful to clarify whether it can be unfastened. In swampy areas and when there is a danger of ticks, it is recommended to purchase suits with a mosquito net. The number and location of pockets are selected strictly for themselves. The following characteristics also depend on individual taste:
- use of a collar;
- jacket length;
- the density of the fabric;
- type of belt.
Peculiarities
