How to make furniture out of old sledges and even a snowboard

Each person has his own warehouse of old or unnecessary things. Do not rush to throw them away. We propose to give such things a second life. The article will focus on sledges and snowboards.

What can be made from a sled

Old wooden sledges will become a creative addition to the country interior. They can be used to make a functional shelf-hanger.

1. Fully wooden sleds are best suited, which must be sanded beforehand, if desired, you can paint with paint in any color.
2. Next, use a level to mark the locations of the holes in the wall.
3. The structure will hold on to special hooks on top and on large screws from the bottom; from the inside, the shelf can be additionally strengthened with special corners.
4. The field only needs to drill the holes first for the upper holders, fix them, and then drill the runners to the wall.
5. Hooks for clothes can be nailed on the outside of the sled.

What can be done from a snowboard

Snowboard is ideal for creating a small table or bench. To do this, it is necessary to make a strong frame, reinforced depending on the expected load. For a mobile table, furniture wheels can be attached to it. Fasten the snowboard on top of the frame with self-tapping screws.

Any paint ideally fits on its surface, so the color of the finished product will depend only on your imagination.

In one of the programs on reworking the interiors, the designers suggested making bright handles for the wardrobe out of a snowboard. To do this, it was sanded around the edges, cut along the middle and attached to the cabinet doors using a frame-leg.

You can make a convenient hanging shelf from a snowboard by attaching it to the wall using special bracket angles (they are sold in any hardware store).

Or you can go the more complicated way - hang it on a cord. To do this, you will need about 4 meters of braided cord at least 9 mm in diameter to strengthen the strength of the structure, two carabiners and loops with a ring. 4 holes are drilled in the snowboard, 2 holes are drilled in the wall, where the dowels are inserted and the loops are driven in, to which the carabiner is attached. Ropes are passed through the carabiner, their ends are threaded through holes made in the snowboard and secured with a strong knot. It turns out such "Swing". To secure their stability, the ropes extreme to the wall can be fixed with a holder, for example, the one used to attach wires to the wall. The hanging shelf is ready.
