Just a few little things can help you to refine and transform your garden into a fabulous outdoor living room!
Mine my chimney sweep!
Pull out the hose, bucket and vacuum cleaner and clean everything you can reach your hands well! Do not forget about the roof of the house, the porch. Wash the windows from the outside, not just in the house, let everything sparkle.
Advice! At the beginning, go everywhere with a hose, wash off all the dirt, even on the windows and roof of the house. Then take a rag and wash the windows. When everything is dry, use a vacuum cleaner to remove any remaining dirt, leaves, etc.
All pillows, umbrellas, etc. send them to the washer to make them shine with new colors. And if you have something white, stock up on bleach.
Refreshing colors in our garden and around the house
I am certainly not talking about painting the porch, it is difficult. If the house is in need of renovation, it is better to turn to professionals. But, with some things we can handle ourselves, verified by personal experience!)
For example, if you have a garden table, chairs, swings and the like, you may very well breathe new life into them. First, make sure they don't fall apart and you can take action!)) Try a fun new color this year!
If you have an old barrel, ugly buckets, then you can paint them too, for example, using stencils. Don't forget the primer. Buckets can be used for flower beds, it will be very beautiful.
Advice! Choose a palette of colors that go well. For example, dark burgundy, not bright green, yellow. Blue and orange go well together. And, in general, here is a picture of the combination of colors.
Think in advance which combinations you like. Do not shove all the colors in a row, it will look pretentious.
Colored flowers - and this is not a tautology!
Plants bring life and, oh, such beauty to the street space! It is not necessary that there are too many of them, but the bright colors of flowers will not harm us, I am telling you for sure!
You probably already have tulips, daffodils, unfortunately, have faded. But there are many more flowers we can plant now in May. Very beautiful asters, marigolds, begonias, violets, gladioli, the list goes on ...
By the way, one-year-old asters can be planted in pots or those buckets that we painted with you, not forgetting about fertilizers.
Rug
It would seem, why is there a rug on the street. But believe me, it adds a pleasant coolness. Head to Leroy Merlin or Obie and choose any inexpensive outdoor rug you like, and don't forget our color palette!
Cozy "corner"
A dining area, a summer spot with a swing where you can read or even just count fireflies - these are all examples of "corners" that you can create outdoors! Do you like to get up early and read the newspaper with a cup of coffee? Why not create a space in your garden where you can fully enjoy your morning ritual.
Curtains can be outside
Curtains are a great way to "frame" outdoor living space and breathe comfort into them. They look so beautiful blowing in the wind!
Cushions
Another element of the outdoor interior, along with curtains, is soft pillows! They will not only add bright colors to our garden, but also become a “pleasant” place to land.
Advice! Make sure the pillows you are using are filled with poly-fiber and not feathers.
Light and light again
Add lanterns. They will create the right mood. Just imagine, an evening, a light May breeze, how nice it is to go out into the fresh air, sit on a swing, take a soft pillow in your hands and look at the bright light of a lantern with a cup of tea or cocoa.
