Even the most unpretentious shrubs have dried branches that must be removed periodically. Many plantings grow very quickly, and if you ignore their timely formation, the bushes will make the site "wild". Trees and shrubs are pruned 1 to 4 times a year.
Selection of unsuitable plants
Many novice gardeners tend to spontaneously acquire flowers that they liked in a store or in a picture. Choosing plants that are not suitable for lighting conditions and soil quality can lead to their elongation, lack of flowering and even death. Remember that all plantings on the site must be in their place: a light-loving plant will never show all its beauty in the shade, and lovers of shaded places in the sun will simply burn out and die.
Lack of plants and flowers
Even if you are an adherent of minimalism, and your site is completely planted with a lawn, you do not need to ignore the flower beds and shrubs - they will create coziness and style, and the site will cease to look strict and "bare". To maintain a minimalist style, you can plant monochrome flowers along the paths or near the gazebo, as well as dilute the picture with identical bushes planted symmetrically relative to the house or paths.
High planting density
Flowers planted too close interfere with the growth of each other, attract many pests and have a limited amount of trace elements in the soil, densely penetrated with roots. In the end, weaker landings will not stand up to the competition and will perish.
You should also not plant plants randomly, even if they are all very bright and beautiful, you should not forget about the need to combine them in color and height. Lack of lighting
During the day, the site plays with different colors, but in order to preserve its beauty in the evening, it is necessary to provide additional lighting for the areas with plantings. The main paths should also be highlighted so that guests do not get lost in pitch darkness. You can use flashlights powered by light batteries, then you do not have to spend money on electricity.
Preservation of old and damaged trees
Sometimes on the site you can find a gnarled, half-dried apple tree, or a tree beaten by a thunderstorm. They certainly do not add beauty to the territory. If pruning of branches does not help to reanimate the appearance of a shrub or tree, and the level of its slope is about to reach a critical level, then it should be gotten rid of. Firstly, it can collapse at any moment, and, secondly, it gives a sloppy and unaesthetic look to the site.
Short cut lawn
When cutting the grass, you should not keep its height as low as possible. First, it can turn yellow under the scorching sun, leaving unsightly straw spots. Secondly, such a lawn will not look uniform due to the different colors of the root and stem zones of different plants.
Planting plants without taking into account the seasonality
Sometimes it happens that all the riot of colors on the site falls on the end of spring - the beginning of summer, after which all the remaining months it is monotonously green. To prevent this from happening, plants with different flowering periods should be selected, so that the period of decline of one falls on the period of flowering of the other.
For example, after crocuses, tulips bloom, followed by irises, later - peonies and daylilies, followed by delphiniums and phloxes.In late autumn, purple sod branches will add color to the site.
