Peculiarities
Due to the large number of varieties, it is impossible to describe features that will suit everyone. For this reason, the main groups have been identified, which makes it easier to work with these plants.
- This class contains rambler roses. This plant has long shoots that bend well. Its stems form arcs or spread. In handling them, you need to be careful, because they have thorns. Shoots can be more than 5 meters long. Small leaves have a glossy surface. The flowers are usually 2.5 centimeters in diameter. They can be different: simple, semi-double, terry. The aroma is not strong. You can admire the flowering for a fairly long period of time at the beginning of summer - 4 weeks. It is valued for its relative frost resistance. Even with a little cover, the plant will survive after the winter period.
- This group consists of climbing roses (Climber), they are also called large-flowered. Shoots can grow up to 4 meters in length. Large enough 4-centimeter flowers are attached to them, gathering in inflorescences of loose placement. They are unique in that some of them can bloom twice per season. Just like the previous group, these climbing roses are resistant to frost, but also to powdery mildew.
- Representatives of this class are called klimings. They are unique for their large flowers. Their diameter sometimes reaches 11 centimeters. They are located one by one along the stem and in inflorescences. Their fruiting occurs at a later date. Most of them bloom twice a season. Unfortunately, they are not frost-resistant and prefer warm mild winters. Therefore, they are recommended to be planted in the southern temperate zone.
Climbing roses - grace from nature itself
Climbing roses are difficult to classify and standardize. But the division into two types - ramblers and climbers - makes it easy to navigate in their variety. Climbers, which many people like to call true climbing roses, are still inferior in popularity to more flexible climbers.
Climbing, Climbing or Climing (the name of the varieties contains the designation of the class Climbing or abbreviated Cl.) Are powerful climbing roses with tough, thick, inflexible erect shoots. For normal development, such roses do not need support. Usually, the height of the clays is limited to a maximum of 3 meters of shoot length, although rare, powerful varieties in favorable climates can produce longer shoots.
Claymers are mainly kidney mutations, spontaneous sports fixed by selection (although some wild roses and ancient Chinese tea and bourbon varieties that can grow in the form of a clammer have long and flexible shoots, curly, climbing, rising).
Some of the climbers are the result of crossing hybrid tea roses and floribundas, bud mutations of other classes of roses, mainly bush forms. The spontaneity of selection has led to a wide variety of climbers. Climmers inherited their best characteristics from their "parents".
Rose-clammers have many disadvantages. In a neglected state, they run wild and can create such impassable thickets that it will not be easy to cope with thorny, tough shoots and put the bushes in order. Winter hardiness of all climbers is inferior to the original plants. It is very difficult to fully enjoy their ability to bloom for a long time and repeatedly in regions with severe winters.
But such roses also have many advantages:
- few roses make such a majestic impression and certainly cannot boast of more elegant and expressive silhouettes;
- Claymers bloom longer and more abundantly than ramblers, they release flowers both on the shoots of the current year and on last year's branches;
- Claymers, with the exception of a few singly flowering varieties, are able to bloom several times, although the second wave is often weaker. Most climbers bloom twice, vigorously in the middle of summer and weakly in early autumn, but there are also those that continuously delight with flowers until frost.
- for the abundance of flowers, you do not have to sacrifice the size of the flowers, all the clammers are large-flowered and spectacular roses that are easily recognizable by the characteristics of the original variety.
Recently, the most popular are miniature clays - varieties, the length of the shoots of which is limited to a maximum of 2 meters. They are appropriate even in the smallest garden. But many people call true climbers only large varieties. The more compact a rose from this category, the closer it is to the ground cover, the less pronounced its ability for architectural silhouettes.

Large climbers reveal their beauty both on supports and without them. Powerful, curving arches, unique in the purity of lines, these roses set unforgettable accents in the garden. And in fact, they are indispensable for a regular style and projects that rely on a romantic mood.
Large climbers are able to create spectacular single accents, creating flowering fountains - spectacular rose bushes from arched shoots that look like living sculpture and are perceived visually almost like an architectural element. They look no worse on the walls, creating a completely different pattern from powerful shoots than curly ramblers. It is more difficult to direct them along the pergola and use them on the arch, but on the other hand, they have no equal in camouflage, placement of expressive lines and accents, emphasizing the beauty of gazebos and objects of small architecture and high flowering "peaks" in ensembles. As in creating flowering domes and wrapping around trees.

Rose bush miss bombastic photo!
Flowers are an integral part of the holidays and an irreplaceable item for creating a good mood. Everyone has their own favorite flower, but the rose still takes the leading position.
Many varieties of roses make it possible to choose a flower according to your mood, character and for any occasion.
One of the most beautiful varieties is the bombastic rose. In the article, we will consider in detail the features and nuances of plant care.
Botanical description
Bombastic is a large family of spray roses with flowers of different shades. They belong to the Rosa spray variety, belonging to the Dutch type of peony roses. This is a small, non-spreading bush plant, not exceeding 70 cm in height and 50 cm in diameter. Up to 15 buds grow on one bush at the same time, the foliage is small, creating a more graceful bush.
Despite a wide range of flowers, which varies from pale pink or beige to deep burgundy, the rose has a distinctive feature from other varieties: the flower buds look like a ball that looks like peonies, the flowers are identical, have approximately the same size.
After opening, the flowers have a pronounced volume and splendor. Lady Bombastic Spray was created in 1991 in Holland by the manufacturer Interplant.

How and what is it used for?
This type of rose is beautiful both in bouquets and in landscape design. When drawing up bouquets, florists use both unopened buds of this type of flowers and already opened roses. Experienced florists advise against making a bouquet only from this variety of roses.
It is best to combine Lady Bombastic with other large bright flowers, and not necessarily roses.
Due to its unusual tenderness, the peony rose will attract attention in any bouquet.Due to the fact that this rose is a bush rose, it is an irreplaceable flower in the preparation of wedding bouquets. It is used both in wedding bouquets and in interior decoration.

Bloom
Lady Bombastic will bloom all season on the shoots of the current year. The narrow bush forms a real bouquet of 10-15 roses. In order for a rose to feel great and delight with a bouquet throughout the season, you must follow the following rules.
Before flowering bush:
- It is not recommended to apply new fertilizers to the soil until the end of summer.
- Immediately after removing the shelter from the bush after wintering, it is recommended to carry out the first pruning.
Frozen, rotting or somehow damaged branches should be removed.
- It is recommended to shorten old shoots by 3-4 cm, in an annual bush by 7-8.
- It is worth taking a number of measures to protect the bushes from pests.
After flowering, you need to prepare a bush for the winter:
- Clear the bush of weak shoots that do not overwinter.
- When a stable temperature is established between -3 and -5 degrees, it is recommended to cover the bush for the winter.
- For successful wintering, roses must be hardened.
- The shoots are sprinkled with leaves on top, and then covered with a film.
What if it doesn't bloom?
Before taking action, you need to understand why the bush does not bud. Among the most common reasons are the following:
- Little time has passed since the day of landing. Often the buds appear only in the next season.
- Poor soil with little fertilization. Fertilizers can be applied before flowering or from September.
- Inappropriate place. A rose needs a bright, sunny place without drafts.
- Little water. A rose is able to live without water for a long time, but in this case it will simply survive, and not please with flowering.
- Incorrect pruning of branches after wintering. In this case, you need to learn how to properly cut the branches.
- The rose was frozen in winter, or the bush was opened too early. In this case, the bush will give only leaves, and you can wait for the buds only next year.
Application in landscape design
These bush roses look best in combination with other, more lush rose bushes, or with other plants that bush well. Choosing a place for Miss Bombastic must be sunny and take into account that nearby growing plants should not create complete shading of the rose bush so that the Bombastic blooms profusely.
Growing features
In order for the rose to develop normally, it is worth paying attention to planting work.
Site preparation
When choosing a site, you should focus on the following criteria:
- The place should be sunny. In the afternoon, slight partial shade is possible.
- There should be no drafts and strong wind gusts.
- Groundwater should be deep enough - below 2 meters.
- When choosing a soil, it is worth giving preference to fertile loams that have a neutral reaction.
When optimal conditions are created, the rose will grow and develop normally. Before planting, it is worth adding 40-60 grams of superphosphate and 20-25 grams of potassium salt per 1 square meter to the soil.
The specifics of the choice of seedlings
When choosing planting material, you should focus on the following features:
Good quality seedlings should contain 2 or more woody shoots. It is best to choose bushes with 4 shoots that are directed in different directions.
The stems should not have shriveled bark or dry branches.
The plant should be free of stains. They indicate the presence of a disease.
There should be no loose bark in the graft area.
A healthy and fresh seedling should have swollen buds. If they are absent, one can suspect drying out of the culture.
The roots should be dark brown.
It is important that they are strong and resilient.
Planting process
First, it is recommended to make a 60 centimeter recess. At the bottom it is worth placing a composition of peat and humus. It is also recommended to add some sand. After that, shorten the branches to 20 centimeters and prune the roots to 30 centimeters.
Then immerse the seedling in the groove and sprinkle with fertile soil. Water and fill up the soil abundantly. Deepening the root collar will provide additional roots
After 20 days, the soil should be carefully shaken off from the plant.
