Violet

Indoor violets are most often attacked by thrips, aphids and ticks. You need to process the entire flower, and not just the affected areas. It is advisable to change the soil in the pot or thoroughly treat the old one with an insecticide. Before processing violets from pests, it is necessary to remove the peduncles.

Violet processing

The solution must be prepared from 2 ml Fitoverm and 1 liter of water. You can add a little shampoo or soap to the solution to enhance the effect. In total, you need to carry out 3-4 treatments, with an interval of 4 days. After spraying the violets, they must be placed in a dark place so that the leaves do not become stained.

Orchid

Fitoverm is used in case of mites infestation of orchid stems and leaves. Processing algorithm:

1. Take the orchid out of the pot and disinfect it. If possible, it is advisable to purchase a new pot in order to protect the flower from re-infestation with parasites.
2. Remove the substrate from the orchid roots. After the root system should be rinsed with hot water and soaked in a container with Fitoverm solution (1 mg per liter).

I advise you to resort to the help of Fitoverm only in case of mass appearance of pests. Still, by interfering in such a rude way in the ecosystem, we upset its balance. As a result, if you use insecticides at the slightest threat to the crop, in the next season you can face a doubling and tripling of the number of pests.

The drug does not provide prophylaxis, so it is useless for them to treat the plants in advance.

Moisture and sunlight accelerate the inactivation of the solution, so it is better to work in the pre-sunset hours in dry and calm weather. And check the weather forecast so that even a light rain is not expected in the next 3-5 days. If a little water gets on the leaves, the protection period will be shortened from three weeks to 5-7 days.

If you urgently need to save the plants, but the next day precipitation is planned, use the drug together with adhesives - for example, Agrolip, Tandem, Atomic, Liposam, Trend 90. When to apply the adhesive - before, after or together with a pesticide - is usually indicated on its packaging.

Unlike other insecticides, the effectiveness of Fitoverm only increases with increasing temperature. When it jumps from 20 to 30 degrees, the drug starts working 8 times better! This is an invaluable quality for areas with hot climates.

The lower temperature threshold is + 10 ... 12 degrees, but I recommend waiting until the temperature rises to at least +15 degrees.

To achieve total extermination of small invaders, 2-3 treatments are performed with an interval of 3-7 days, depending on weather conditions and the type of pest.

How to breed Fitoverm for spraying

Fitoverm does not react with plastic and metal, so it can be diluted in any convenient container (except food, of course).

To prevent separation of the drug in water, I advise you to prepare the solution in several steps.

1. Determine the right amount of solution based on the type of crop and the area of ​​the garden. The table below will help you with this.
2. Open the ampoule, measure out the concentrate with a dispenser or a small syringe, pour it into 100 ml of water and mix thoroughly.
3. Add another 900 milliliters of water, mix.
4. Bring the solution to the correct strength and pour it into a garden sprayer or spray bottle.

Fitoverm is compatible with growth regulators (Epin Extra, Zircon, Immunocytofit, Tsitovit), pyrethroids, fungicides, fertilizers and organophosphate insecticides.

The instruction indicates that the agent cannot be used simultaneously with chemical insecticides and alkaline substances.

• Currants (mites): 2 milliliters per 1 liter of water, 1 liter per bush, 2 times a day;

Among many people who grow flowers, there is confidence that if an orchid is attacked by thrips, then most of them are located in flowers, and instead of treatment it is better to remove and throw them away. But as for the soil and the stem of the plant, they can be treated with "Fitoverm" following the standard instructions.

• Remove the plant from the pot, replace the pot

2. "Fitoverm" for violets

In violets, both the earth and the leaves are subject to processing. It is worth considering that the period between treatments in violets is shorter than that of other indoor plants. This period lasts three days. Recommended usage rate: one ampoule per liter of water.

3. "Fitoverm" for seedlings

Seedlings in apartment conditions are grown on the basis of transplanting them into open land in the future. When processing seedlings with Fitoverm, it is worth remembering that at the time of processing the plants are included in the group of indoor plants, and not fruit and vegetable.

That is why fertilization periods, dosages and all other rules should be based on indoor plants. You can effectively get rid of insects by using the drug not only for the ground, but also for spraying the leaves.

Fitoverm is a remedy against pests of the fourth generation, the main advantage of which is the minimum harmful effect on the soil, flora and useful fauna of the site.

Among the advantages of the drug, you can also highlight:

• Versatility. Applicable to all plants in the garden, vegetable garden and at home, does not inhibit their development.

• The long term of plant protection - up to 20 days - allows you to do only 2-3 treatments per season.

• Fast deactivation - it is safe to harvest the crop already 48 hours after treatment, it does not accumulate in either the fruit or the foliage.
• Convenient packaging. You can choose the amount of the drug that is needed for your purposes.
• Lack of addiction. The effectiveness of the pesticide does not decrease during 5-6 seasons of successive application.

Despite all these advantages, Fitoverm does not solve all pest problems due to some disadvantages:

1. Photo instability, that is, the drug instantly decomposes in the light.
2. Fragility on the leaves. The solution weakly adheres to plants and is quickly washed off by precipitation and dew. Therefore, it is recommended to add soap or store adhesives to the liquid.
3. Selectivity in action. The larvae and eggs of pests do not take part in feeding, so some of them survive processing. Ticks also often hide in the veins of the leaves, so that many individuals manage to avoid contact with the poison.
4. High cost. Especially in comparison with similar drugs based on vigorous chemistry.
5. Unpleasant (albeit mild) odor.
6. Toxicity to bees and other pollinators.
7. Cannot be applied to soil.
8. The working solution is not stored for more than one day.

You should not buy the drug for the future. The working solution is not subject to even short-term storage. During cooking, care must be taken that the emulsion does not stratify, otherwise the mixture will be spoiled. Then Fitoverm will have to be poured out, and the new portion should be done more carefully.

Preparation of working solution:

1. 4/5 of the required amount of water is poured into a spray bottle.
2. An intermediate solution is prepared. The required dose of the drug from the vial or ampoules is poured into a small glass container. Larger containers are filled with 20% of the total amount of water. The concentrate is poured in a thin stream with constant stirring.
3. The mixture is carefully and little by little added to the water bottle.
4. Shake the sprayer several times and start processing.

Processing of vegetable crops

It is possible that when Fitoverm processes a vegetable garden, the mixture will have to be prepared several times. The concentration of the solution varies depending on the pest.

Application on fruit and berry plants

When processing a garden or berry plant, Fitoverm solution is made less concentrated than for a vegetable garden. Large plants need not only be sprayed, but completely moisten the aerial part, so that the consumption of the drug does not decrease.

To combat pests on fruit trees and shrubs, 2 ml of Fitoverm are diluted in 1-1.3 liters of water. The amount of working solution required to process one plant differs:

• apple and pear - 5 l;
• currants - 1 l;
• cherries, cherries - 2 l;
• plum, peach, apricot - 3 l.

For grapes, the amount of vegetative mass of which strongly depends on the cut, the amount of the preparation is calculated per the area occupied by the vine. For 1 sq. m use 1 liter of working solution. Similarly, the consumption of insecticide for raspberries, blackberries is determined.

There was no place in the instructions for the use of Fitoverm for strawberries. The garden bed is treated entirely, consuming 1 liter of the diluted drug per 1 sq. m area

Beautifully flowering and decorative leafy crops do not produce edible fruits. It would seem that it is better to treat them with potent chemicals that have a prolonged effect. But they have a phytotoxic (poisonous) effect on plants, which can lead to chlorosis, curvature of stems, deformation of flowers, and general oppression of the plant.

Spraying of ornamental crops with Fitoverm is carried out according to the following scheme.

For indoor flowers

Florists willingly use Fitoverm for indoor plants. Before its appearance, it was difficult to fight pests; there was simply no alternative to the toxic Aktelik. Often, treatments were carried out with laundry soap, and severely affected plants were thrown away.

Fitoverm has become a real salvation for orchids. Previously, at the slightest suspicion of infection with a mealybug or scale insect, the plant was usually thrown away.

Instructions for use for indoor flowers:

1. Fitoverm is diluted at a concentration of 10-12 g / l.
2. Flowers affected by pests are taken to a separate room. A glazed loggia, a shed will do.
3. The plant is treated every 3-4 days with a fresh emulsion solution until the pests are completely destroyed.

Fitoverm saves houseplants from the most common pests. The drug has many advantages - zero phytotoxicity, high efficiency, comparative safety for legal residents of an apartment or house.

But in order to completely exterminate pests, multiple treatments are needed. And although my review of the drug is generally positive, last year it was not able to cope with aphids on pepper seedlings.

But, most likely, this happened due to the fact that I missed the fourth final spray.
