The hyacinth bulbs purchased in late autumn are planted in suitable containers so that they remain on the surface at ⅓ of their height. Don't forget to drain, otherwise they can rot! After planting, the soil must be thoroughly shed, after which the containers must be placed in a dark, cool place for about three months.In the first few weeks, it is not necessary to moisten the substrate, but as soon as roots appear in the drainage holes, the bulbs will have to be watered weekly. At the end of "wintering", hyacinths have flower stalks. When the height of the arrows reaches about 5–7 cm, the pots must be rearranged in a bright place. For several days they should be kept at a temperature of +15 ... +18 ° C and only then can they be placed in a warm room (after all, in nature, the temperature in spring also rises gradually). Hyacinths will bloom no later than a week later.

Suffering for gladiolus

I know that many amateurs plant tulips, daffodils and other bulbs in their pots at home so that they bloom in winter. Is it possible to grow blooming gladioli in an apartment?
