How to grow aquarium plants from seeds with aliexpress?

Visitor

Hello!

Today I was digging in Ali in search of parts for CO2 and accidentally stumbled upon a lot of proposals for seeds of aquarium plants. They offer mainly ground cover "mix". They write, for example, like this: "Glossostigma Hemianthus Callitrichoides". What is there really is not clear.

I saw Glossostigma in their photo, Hemianthus - no.

The people who received such parcels post excerpts from the instructions for the seeds: pour soil, bury seeds by 1 cm, pour water to the ground level, leave for 6 days with the light on (do not turn off the light at all). Next, the most amazing thing is a photo after 7 days. Smooth beautiful rug of tender young vegetation.

There are a lot of positive reviews.

What's the catch? Or does everything actually turn out so gloriously, and for 150r you can get a solid portion of the miracle seeds?

Who tried it?

On the forum, the topic has surfaced more than once, the people sowed - this is a scam, the seeds of weeds under the fence.

I saw the discussions, but ... look at the reviews from the photo.

And after all, something decent and really water grows. Well, the price of the issue is 150 rubles. - for this money you won't get much from us (

Where can I find good material with botanical sketches of plants and their seeds? There would be at least a chance to understand this millet, dill or hemianthus))

Who do you think writes these reviews?

The expectation is that no one will raise the noise because of such a sum.

There is either a lawn mixture - or, in general, some kind of food for parrots.

If there were 2-3 reviews, it's understandable, but here there are almost a hundred, yes, from different countries ..

And after all, each review is written only after the entire delivery-payment procedure.

On the other hand, it looks somewhat more decent than the members of the forum who wrote about such experiments earlier. There is no obvious millet, green pellets and red bumps (like in washing powder) and moss seeds :)

And one more gratifying fact - after all, aquatic plants grew from such seeds among comrades.

Never a cube, as promised, but watery and beautiful. In addition, none of the locals have ever seen it before.

In general, I also strongly doubt this idea, but I honestly leave a certain chance. Well, the price of the issue is captivating again :)

Why, then, do German firms (Dennerleys, etc.) not sell seeds from their nurseries? are there seeds only in china?
scam and reviews are appropriate

Why so? Honestly - flipped through before writing)

I was still waiting for a report like "Of 10 species, 7 are thistle and wormwood, 3 are millet, poppy and kiwi" or "I have grown an underwater garden of wondrous beauty." But no .. It was not possible to draw any solid conclusion for myself. Someone is lucky, for someone this case dies at the stage of germination, and for someone it grows not that, but also quite suitable.

Do not scold, better tell me where to get an explanatory guide with sketches of seeds)

There may be many reasons for this .. not necessarily the complexity of the technology of obtaining seeds or their germination.

I can also get titanopsis seeds on my windowsill. This is a succulent from South Africa actually, not an aquatic plant.

Have you found at least one successful report from a person "with history" on the aquarium forum, where at least something recognizable has grown?)))

read better topics about aquarium plants in a greenhouse, take a bunch of echinodorus tenellus, lileopsis (you can have a jar of a meristem plant if you need a shipment), a table lamp, a transparent tray, earth from a flower shop - you will have a rug

Read how aquatic plants reproduce, most of them propagate by cuttings, shoots, etc. Because aquatic plants do not need to preserve seeds until a favorable period with sufficient moisture, they are already in the water.

If there are plants that produce seeds, then their seeds are very small, about the size of poppy seeds. How are you going to identify them by their appearance?

It is better to take seeds from time-tested sellers. And only those plants that are difficult to transport.

I decided to take a chance and bought Eric's seeds, but bought from a Russian seller. Half of his personal collection is from Japan. I'm lucky.

Already a month from sowing)))

and on what soil do you grow

I took the infernal amazonia yuzan powder for four years. While growing the seeds, I prepared a jar for them. To date, I have already planted it in the aquarium.

Grew up to this state

It's been like this for three days now

, I read here in one of the topics that it is 1000 times more difficult and more expensive to grow from seeds than it is already adults to buy.

I don't even know what to say. I only got the costs for the seeds. Regarding adult plants, if there is where to get it, then of course. I have nowhere to take in the winter. And the bloody emperor, for the sake of whom everything was conceived, would not be brought to him even in the summer. So it all depends on the goals and opportunities.

They took something like that. Oat and sunflower seeds arrived! True, they took it even cheaper - for 20 rubles.

I saw Glossostigma in their photo, Hemianthus - no.

Previously, there was another photo in the description with two piles of seeds of a darker color (like in bubbles) and different sizes. From small

ostensibly Hemianthus grew up, and from those that are larger, it means Glossostigma! I laughed for a long time. Those seeds seem to have already been sold ...

Seeds of aquarium plants, this is interesting. For example, I found it right away.

Only one thing is not clear - Hot Selling 1000 pcs. New aquarium grass seeds (mix)

This is what will grow-))))? A bunch of Echoes ..?

Yes, on Ali, everything is clogged with seeds ...

    Etc
