Rose Floribunda variety Manyo

An independent group called Floribunda (which means "profusely blooming") stood out in the garden classification of roses in the middle of the last century.

Floribunda rose was obtained by crossing polyanthus roses with hybrid tea. Its appearance is associated with the name of the breeder Poulsen from Denmark.

Below I want to introduce you to the best varieties of this rose and note some of the features of each variety. The rating was compiled by me personally, based on my own observations.

This variety of American-bred rose does not bloom too profusely, but it fascinates with the perfection of the inflorescence shape and the rare two-color range of pink. The flower spreads the petals slowly and sometimes you can catch a shade similar to cocoa with milk.

Variety "Mardi Gras"

A rare but wonderful looking variety. The flowers are pink, with a slight crimson tint at the bud stage. When you look at the bud, you get the impression that it is slightly translucent.

Silky petals combined with dense matte leaves look very impressive. The bushes are quite dense, compact, their height reaches 60 cm.

Bernstein Rose cultivar

This flower is densely doubled, it attracts attention not so much by its “antique” charm, but by its amber-yellow warm color. Bushes with dark green dense leaves are quite compact, their height is 70 cm.

The variety does not require any special knowledge when growing; it is usually recommended for novice gardeners who decide to start breeding roses.

This variety is very unpretentious in terms of care, so even a novice gardener can cope with it. It will suit any rose lover, especially fans of the vibrant fuchsia color.

Densely double flowers with more than 100 petals look like a two-tiered rosette, they are neatly collected in huge dense inflorescences. The flowering of this variety is abundant.Bushes with decorative dense leaves of the "Sangria" variety are spreading, their height is about 70 cm.

Medium-sized densely double flowers in a half-dissolved form have a creamy yellow center, and when they bloom completely, they become beautiful, creamy white.

The leaves of this rose variety are dense, dark green, shiny. Spreading bushes, their height is 60 cm. This variety is quite stress-resistant, it tolerates wintering well.

Variety "Niccolo Paganini"

Of the dark red varieties of medium height, the variety "Niccolo Paganini" is considered the best among all in terms of flower quality. Fragrant, velvety, they have a magnificent, impeccable shape, collected in large inflorescences.

The bushes are up to 80 cm high, they are dense and surrounded by foliage. The variety blooms profusely, the flowering period lasts quite a long time. It is highly resistant to stress, it tolerates winter well. Great for mixed groups and rose gardens where flower quality is most important.

The spectacular variety "Jubile du Prince de Monaco" captivates with the exceptional beauty of the flower. In a semi-open form, the petals of a white-cream shade have a delicate crimson edging.

Double flowers, large, retain their shape for a long time. The bushes are compact, they are up to 80 cm high, have dense matte foliage and always look neat. A wonderful rose for small compositions and arrays, when planting many varieties together, this rose can be used as a transition within the red range.

A low bushy rose, up to 70 cm long, enchants with large flowers of an interesting coral tone. In the half-open state of the bud, unusual complex shades are noticeable.

This variety is characterized by a rapid resumption of flowering, it is interesting that flowers of various shades can be seen on the bush at the same time.

Sort "Galaxy"

The buds of the "Galaxy" variety are ocher-yellow with a reddish edge. In full dissolution, they are creamy yellow with a slight reddish tinge at the edges of the petals. The bushes of this variety are spreading, thick, with dense large leaves, which have a turquoise hue at a young age.

As you can see, there are no places in my rating. All these varieties, for me, are equally valuable and interesting. Having planted any of these roses on your site, you will certainly not be disappointed with the choice.

Floribunda roses are no less popular than hybrid tea: they were classified into a separate group in 1976 as an intermediate link between roses of other classes. Floribunda rose bushes can have very different heights - from 40 cm to one and a half meters, and many representatives of Rosaceae can envy the richness of the colors of these flowers. Floribunda rose bushes: group description

Foribunda roses are sometimes called hybrid-polyanthus roses. They have all colors of hybrid tea roses. These roses bloom very profusely and for a long time. They were first obtained by the Danish originator Paulsen in 1924.

Flowers of varying degrees of doubleness (10-25 petals), collected in inflorescences of 10-30 pieces, in many varieties they are close in shape to hybrid tea (goblet), and in others - cupped or flat, persistent, bright juicy color. Some varieties are aromatic. Bushes are compact, densely leafed.

Certain varieties of floribunda roses have golden yellow tones, hardness and glossiness of leaves, characteristic of Pernetsian roses, which also participated in the selection. This group of roses is distinguished by stronger growth (80-100 cm) and larger flowers (4-6 cm in diameter). Flowers are collected in small inflorescences at the ends of the shoots. The flowering is profuse and almost continuous until frost.

Most varieties are distinguished by high winter hardiness and disease resistance, successful propagation by grafting and cuttings, are indispensable in the flower decoration of a garden or a backyard, suburban area.

Bushes up to 60cm high, shoots grow straight. The advantages include abundant long-lasting flowering, frost resistance and disease resistance.

Hocus Pocus. Rose with "chintz" original color: dark brown with bright yellow stains. The height of the bush is 40-60 cm. The flowers are 6-8 cm in diameter. It is resistant to diseases.

La Paloma. A beautiful white floribunda, although not abundantly flowering. Elegant, hybrid tea buds, appear singly or in small clusters. They open slowly, keep their shape for a long time. The flowers are initially creamy with a lemon center, later pure white. Autumn bloom is more reminiscent of a floribunda rose - the brushes are larger (up to 9 flowers), the flowers are smaller. The foliage is dark, shiny, branched bush, strong.

"Kiss" - flowers are large, goblet, single (rarely 2 - 3 pieces), faint-hearted, delicate salmon-pink matte color. Terry 25 - 35 petals; opens slowly, without changing color, stands in a vase for 9-12 days. The leaves are dull, rounded, green with a brown edge. The bushes are medium-sized, broadly spreading, even, strong peduncles, 45-60 cm, covered with very small thorns. The variety is resistant to powdery mildew.

"Valentin Nert". Very fragrant flowers consist of 20 petals - pink with a cream color, light red at the base. The edges of the petals are wavy. The leaves are dark green, highly shiny. Bushes vigorous, 70 cm high, erect shoots. Disease resistance is good.

"Concerto" - flowers in dissolution with a diameter of up to 8-10 cm, double, petals are ocher-pink. The height of the bush is 90-100 cm, the width is 80 cm.

"Purple Tiger". The flower is painted with radial stripes of purple and white. Some may find this coloration rude, but it is unusual and eye-catching.

The opened flowers are flat. The aroma is pleasant, but not strong. The flowers are collected in racemose inflorescences that rise beautifully above the foliage. The inflorescence can have up to 12 flowers. The variety blooms almost without interruption. The bush is low, reaching 75 cm in height and 60 cm in width. The foliage is light green, rather rare. Sufficiently resistant to disease.

"Manie Happy Returns" - one of the best floribunda roses, blooming earlier than all other varieties. In culture since 1991, but already very widespread. The flowers are fragrant, large, with ruddy pink petals. The leaves are green, shiny. The bush is sprawling, vigorous, up to 80 cm high. Its advantages include early flowering and good disease resistance.

Giraldo. Shrub 1.5 - 2 m, erect, large leaf, dark green. Flowers are deep pink, large, densely double. The diameter of the blossoming flower is 12 cm. Very fragrant.

"Monica". It has very long, elegant buds that bloom into beautiful, bright scarlet flowers with a gold base. Flower size 10-11 cm in diameter. The height of the bush is 120-175 cm. This rich color holds well and does not fade. Flowers usually appear one at a time on long shoots, making the variety well suited for cutting.
