Reproduction of gatsania

Gatsania propagates by seeds and cuttings. You can try to grow this very beautiful flower in both ways.

The seeds ripen in a faded bud within two months. They can be harvested at the end of summer, when they are fully ripe. If this is not done in time, they can wake up to the ground, but they will not be able to germinate next year due to the cold winter. For these purposes, containers or special boxes for seedlings are suitable. Seeds can be planted in greenhouses and open ground as early as April. The distance between plants should be about 20 cm.

For sowing seedlings, high quality seeds are chosen. Planting depth is 1 cm, sprinkle a little earth on top and water. Then cover the containers with plastic and put in a warm place. It is also necessary to provide the seeds with additional lighting, this will contribute to the early emergence of sprouts. You can buy special peat tablets, they are very convenient to use when planting seeds. When using them, the risk of damaging the roots of the plant during transplantation becomes minimal.
