GOST 12.4.013-97 defines the marking on goggles:

О - open goggles;

OO - open folding goggles;

ЗП - closed goggles with direct ventilation;

ЗН - closed goggles with indirect ventilation;

K - visor goggles;

L - protective lorgnette.

Marking

The marking of goggles is well described by GOST 12.4.013-97, where O means open goggles, OO - open folding goggles, ZP - closed with direct ventilation, ZN - closed with indirect, G - hermetically sealed, H - mounted, K - visor and L - lorgnette.

If double glazing was used in the design of the product, then the letter D. is added to the marking.In the presence of an adjustable lintel, a capital P. is added.

Further, if 3 is indicated, then the goggles are protected from liquids, if 4 - from particles larger than 5 microns. 5 indicates the presence of protection from gas, 8 - from an electric arc, and 9 - from molten metal.

The mechanical strength of the lenses is indicated next. If there is a letter A, it means that they can withstand the impact of particles moving at a speed of 190 m / s, if B - 120 m / s, F - 45 m / s. In the presence of a capital T, we can say that the product in question can be used under extreme temperature conditions (from -5 to + 55C).

The identification code of the filter is indicated in the marking on the glasses: 2 means protection against ultraviolet radiation, if it is 2C or 3, then this is additionally and good color rendering. When there is protection against infrared radiation, the number 4 is indicated, if the glasses protect against ultraviolet radiation, but without the infrared specification, then put in the marking 5, if with the specification, then 6.

You can also find out about the degree of shading: 1.2 are completely transparent glasses, 1.7 are designed for working in open space, 2.5 have smoky or brown lenses.

Scratch protection is indicated by a capital K, anti-fogging by an English N.
