Modifications and their characteristics
The leader is produced in both trailed and mounted versions (in the latter case, the letter H is added to the marking). The numbers in this marking indicate how many meters a given tillage implement can grab at one time. The frame of the sectional models is hydraulically foldable, so they are easier to store and also easier to service. And modular models, interlocking with each other, double, triple or quadruple the total grip of the field surface.

Technical features of the cultivator KPE-3,8
The working bodies are flat-cutting paws with a grip of 410 mm and an opening angle of 65 °, on SPRING racks with an overlap of 70 - 80 mm. The uprights are spaced 93 cm apart in a row and 70 cm between rows. During operation, they vibrate due to variable resistance on the working bodies, which helps to reduce the tractive resistance of the tool, reduces sticking of racks and flat-cutting paws, excludes clogging them with weeds and crop residues.
The position of the cutting edges relative to the horizon of each flat-cutting paw is adjusted with stop bolts on the front of the rack bracket. The adjusting bolt, resting against the spring rack when screwing, deflects it from the vertical position. As a result, the cutting angle and the position of the edges relative to the horizon change. For good penetration it is necessary that the toe of the paws is 4-5 mm below their edges.
Above each post there are two safety springs with a height of 200 mm.When the working body meets an obstacle, the springs are compressed, the flat-cutting share comes out of the soil. After passing obstacles, the paw is deepened again under the action of the springs.
In the working position, the frame of the KPE-3,8 cultivator should be parallel to the field surface. If the frame is tilted in the direction of travel, the front row of the flat cutter shares is deepened deeper than the rear. As a result, the soil is processed poorly. In addition, the non-horizontalness of the tool frame during cultivation by 14-16 cm leads to an overload of the attachment points of the most loaded row of working bodies. Therefore, the cast brackets for fastening the legs of the flat-cutting shares are often broken.
The horizontal position of the frame of the KPE-3.8 cultivator is achieved by rearranging the trailed shackle in the holes of the trailer lowering. If this is not enough, the towing bracket and yokes of the tractor are rearranged to the maximum possible height relative to the soil surface.
For processing smaller sections, you can usewalk-behind tractor Neva MB-23С 9.0 PRO.

How to choose?
In a huge range of modern motor-cultivators, you can easily "get lost"
To choose the optimal model, it is important to pay attention to a number of important criteria and features.
Before you go to buy a motor-cultivator, you should immediately decide how exactly you will use it. If you plan to work on a spacious area with capricious ground, then it is advisable to buy powerful and heavy motor vehicles. If the field for work has modest dimensions, the soil there is pliable, and you do not plan to plow a lot, then you can use simpler equipment - light and ultralight devices are quite suitable
They can be used for weeding row spacings and loosening the top soil layer.
Be sure to pay due attention to the build quality of the cultivator.
It doesn't matter how much it costs and what category it belongs to - it is absolutely important to inspect any model for poorly fixed and unreliable parts.
If you noticed those, then it is better to refuse the purchase: poorly assembled equipment will not withstand heavy loads and will quickly fail.
- If you need a multifunctional model, then it is worth choosing a cultivator with attachments. Today, machines with a plow are very popular. These options are more convenient and easier to work with, because they simultaneously perform several tasks at once. But their cost may be higher.
- Buy only branded equipment. Motor-cultivators from well-known brands are more expensive, but quickly pay for themselves. They last longer, are reliable and durable. In addition, they always come with a manufacturer's warranty. It is not recommended to buy cheap equipment from little-known and incomprehensible companies: these copies will not last long, it will be difficult (sometimes impossible) to repair them, and they may not cope with their main task.
- It is recommended to buy the specified motor vehicles only in proven and specialized retail outlets (you can in company mono-brand stores).
When choosing this or that model of a motor-cultivator, remember that for a small area it makes no sense to buy a high-power heavy unit with many additional functions - you will simply overpay for equipment that you will not really need.
