history of the company
Skil is well known in the United States. It was created at the end of the first quarter of the twentieth century by John Salevan and Edmond Mitchell, who created an electrically conductive saw, which became the first mass product to be released under the company's name. The product has become quite widespread throughout America, and after two years the company decided to expand its range.
Over the next quarter of a century, Skil products reached the leading positions in sales in the country, and already in the 50s appeared on the Canadian markets, and a little later reached Europe.
In 1959, the company began producing one of the fastest and most powerful pneumatic hammer drills in the family of tools for the home, which was immediately patented. Two years later, Skil began opening offices in European countries to further strengthen its position on the mainland. Gradually, service centers began to open around the world.
Today in the Skil assortment you can find a huge number of professional and amateur electric tools with a wide range of functions and convenient ergonomics.
