How to choose?
As with other brands of equipment, you must first decide whether you need an electric powered or cordless planer. The first type is suitable for an ordinary private house, city apartment or equipped workshop.
And one should not forget about increased mobility. The main characteristics should be studied carefully. Of course, the performance of the device must match the needs of the owner. Household power can be limited to 0.6 kW. Anything more powerful than 1 kW will be more suitable for a small workshop. Engine speed tells you how quickly a tool can handle the same amount of work.
Ideally, you should focus on planers with knives of the same or slightly wider width as the boards that will be mainly processed.
The mass of a household electric planer does not exceed 5 kg. But for industrial needs, you can take a tool from 8 kg. It is also worth considering:
