Bosch nutrunners: varieties and features of operation

Varieties

Wrenches can be pneumatic or electric. The first is powered by compressed air from the compressor, which is supplied through a hose located on the side of the handle. The flow of compressed air drives the shaft and the attachment, which is attached to the nut. It has several power modes and a reverse function for changing the direction of rotation. Wrenches can be divided into cordless, mains, impact and pneumatic.

One of the world leaders in construction tools, Bosch offers the following types:

  • rechargeable shock;
  • pneumatic dynamometric;
  • pneumatic pulse.

General differences between cordless percussion models

Each model has its own uniqueness. For example, of the cordless impact wrenches, the GDX 180-LI Professional is positioned as the only impact wrench with a double bit holder with screwing, screwing and drilling functions, while the GDX 18 V-EC Professional is a universal impact wrench with an extended service life. The GDS 14.4 and the V-LI Professional is currently the first 14.4 volt pulse-type cordless model with a flexible battery system.

The first two models are similar to each other (for example, voltage 18 volts, clamp, almost the same maximum torque), however, the first model is characterized by a higher shaft speed (rotational speed up to 2.800 rpm) and an improved cooling system.

The GDX 18 V-EC Professional boasts a more powerful motor, high precision, which prevents over-tightening of the threaded connection and damage to bolts or studs. And a more ergonomic design gives an advantage in use.

Pneumatic models

Consider two Bosh 1/2 Professional models of different types of pneumatic impact wrenches - one is a torque wrench, the other is an impulse one. Located in the same price segment, but with different technological characteristics.

Pneumatic impulse wrench 1/2 Professional has a maximum torque when tightening the connection 310 Nm, idling speed 7,000 rpm, air consumption under load up to 8.5 l / s, weight according to EPTA 2.3 kg. A pneumatic torque wrench 1/2 Professional has the same indicators (respectively): 60 Nm; 160 rpm; before 8 l / s; 1.3 kg.

Safety when working with impact wrenches

Direct the jet of compressed air in the opposite direction from yourself (for pneumatic models) and never at other people - a directed jet of compressed air can cause injury. Try to protect hoses from kinks, pinches, solvents, and sharp edges. Do not make physical contact with grounded surfaces; there is a risk of electric shock when using cordless impact wrenches. It is not recommended to use the device if you feel unwell - when coordination of movements or severe weakness is impaired, and it is strictly forbidden to use the instrument while intoxicated.

Before switching on, remove the chuck maintenance tools located in the rotating part of the device. Always check the integrity of the compressed air hose or batteries. In the event of a faulty start of the mechanism, do not work with the device.

When working with a cordless wrench, use only batteries that are compatible with this model and recommended by the manufacturer. Try to exclude contact of the battery with sharp and smooth metal objects that can short-circuit the poles, it is better to use a rubberized substrate.
