Isolating type self-rescuers
The isolating self-rescuers include devices SPI-20, SIP-1, Extremal-PRO.
These are self-contained PPE, they completely isolate the face and respiratory organs of a person from external influences. A special oxygen cylinder is used for breathing in the design of these self-rescuers. In the first seconds of use, the starting pellet is activated, which releases oxygen.
Isolating self-rescuers are divided into general (civil) and special-purpose PPE. The former are used by citizens who evacuate themselves from smoky premises. Special self-rescuers are used by specialists who are responsible for saving people.
Isolation-type devices can operate with a constant supply of oxygen (inhalation and exhalation into the protective hood) or in the pulmonary-automatic delivery mode (inhalation in the mask and exhalation into the surrounding space).
