Service
In order for the TechProm MZR walk-behind tractor to serve as long as possible without breakdowns, it is necessary to properly monitor it.
The most frequently performed work is an oil change.
Transmission oil TAD 17
- The engine oil must be changed after 25 operating hours. For this, it is recommended to use semi-synthetic models 10W-40 or 10W-40.
- The transmission oil must be changed every 100 hours of operation of the TechProm MZR walk-behind tractor. The most suitable options are considered Tap-15v or Tad-17i.
- The control levers should be lubricated periodically with waterproof lubricants. This is done so that they do not rust, and to facilitate switching.
- You can not use poor quality or dirty gasoline. It is necessary to use pure AI-92 fuel.
First start-up instructions
The correct start of operation is the key to the long-term use of TechProm MZR walk-behind tractors. How to properly assemble and start the walk-behind tractor is described in the operating instructions.
Before starting to use, it is imperative to fill in engine oil and gasoline.
After that comes the running-in period. This procedure involves the use of MZR motoblocks at half the maximum power.
During the running-in process, the engines are lubricated, rubbed against each other and clearly fit into their grooves.
If you do not carry out this procedure, then the motor can immediately fail.
Major faults and repairs
Each owner of TechProm MZR motoblocks should know how to repair major breakdowns.
If the walk-behind tractor does not start:
- Check for the presence of oil and gasoline in the corresponding compartments (add if necessary);
- Check for the presence of a spark from the spark plugs (if it is absent, set the appropriate gap, check the fastening of the terminals or replace the spark plugs);
- Check the fuel system, whether the fuel reaches the carburetor (if the fuel system is clogged, then clean it);
- Adjust the fuel mixture in the carburetor (adjustment is made by adjusting the tension of the corresponding bolts);
If there is a large vibration from the TechProm MZR walk-behind tractor during operation:
- The main reason for this breakdown is loosening of the bolted connections;
- The second nuance may be the unreliability of attaching attachments.

User manual
The walk-behind tractor has a high noise level - 92 dB, therefore it is recommended to use special headphones or earplugs during its operation. The operator should wear anti-vibration gloves on his hands, despite the presence of pads on the handlebars. Long-term operation of any such agrotechnical device without equipment is not recommended.
The manufacturer recommends using AI-92 gasoline for filling the unit. Use SAE30 / SAE5W-30 oil for the engine. For the gearbox, use transmission oil 80W-90 Spark plug type F7RTC.
When working with a walk-behind tractor, follow these operating rules:
- Assemble using the instructions.
- Perform the first start with a full tank of fuel and oil in the engine and gearbox.
- Let the walk-behind tractor run idle for a while (10-15 minutes) to warm up the engine, then start working with the soil.
- Do not load the device at full power, during the running-in period - 8 hours after the first start - the load should be 2/3 of the maximum.
- After running-in, drain the oil from the containers and refill with fresh oil before starting again.
- Every 50 hours, carry out scheduled maintenance, inspect the body and cutters of the walk-behind tractor for damage, clean the fuel and oil filter, check the gap between the spark plug and clean it from carbon deposits.
- On sloping soils (slopes greater than 15 degrees) use the machine diagonally.
- The device should be started on a level surface.
- Avoid hitting the cutters with stones or large branches, they can damage the knives.
Advantages and disadvantages of the Garden Scout diesel walk-behind tractor
Manufacturers of the Garden Scout trademark produce motor-tractors and walk-behind tractors. By the way, the latter appeared on the Ukrainian market not so long ago - since 2017. At the moment, the range of motoblocks is limited to heavy equipment, equipped with a diesel engine with a capacity of 8 to 15 horsepower.
If we consider in more detail the technical characteristics of this type of units, we can conclude that they are very hardy, equipped with a water cooling system, which means that the motor does not threaten overheating, even when operating in intensive mode. A large number of gears (6 - forward and 2 - reverse) allow the operator to select the most suitable speed mode. This also makes it possible to improve maneuverability despite the weight (about 300 kg).
The Garden Scout motoblock is convenient to work on medium and heavy soils in structure, because due to its weight, good adhesion to the soil occurs. In general, farmers leave positive feedback on the previously selected Garden Scout models. By the way, it is advisable to make the choice based on the specific conditions for the production of agricultural crops and the size of the land plot.
For example, if the farmer owns an allotment of up to 1 hectare, the Garden Scout GS81D or Garden Scout GS81DE walk-behind tractor is better suited, which differ in the presence of a manual (in the first case) and an electric starter (in the second case). Spare parts for walk-behind tractors are not expensive and are always available from suppliers. The main thing is to choose a reliable partner who would guarantee the high quality of the goods. Regarding the inspection and repair of motoblocks, its cost is much lower than that of full-size equipment.
