What are the dosages

The antibiotic comes in two forms:

farmazin 500
Farmazin 500

How to apply to chickens

Pharmazin 500 is available in powder form. Before using it, you need to dilute it a little with water, mixing water into the powder, and not vice versa, then add more water and dilute to the desired concentration.

If it is supposed to use a medicine for birds, then it must be diluted to a ratio of 1 gram per 1 liter of water. Broilers need to solder the medicine for three days, and turkeys within five days (the recommended growing periods are indicated below).

The drinker with the drug should be kept by the animals during the entire time of taking the antibiotic. It is necessary to dilute the drug daily (change to fresh).

The container with the medicine should be in the shade. Direct sunlight is harmful to the drug.

In order to ensure a sufficient intake of the antibiotic for animals, it is necessary to remove all containers with liquid except for the one where the drug is diluted, then the concentration of the substance entering the body will be sufficient for treatment and prevention, and, no less important, controlled!

In the treatment and prevention of chickens, goslings, turkeys and other chicks you should adhere to the schedule recommended in the instructions and dosage, namely:

drinker
The medicine is given to chicks along with water.

Instructions for the use of pharmacin for adult birds

The drug is contraindicated for laying birds, because tylosin accumulates and is excreted together with eggs; it is forbidden to use eggs obtained during the period of use of the drug for culinary purposes.

Farmazin 50 is mainly used for large-horned livestock, piglets, small-horned livestock, dogs, and felines. Pharmazin 50 is not used for chickens, turkeys and other birds.

Pharmazin is not recommended to be given:

  • chickenshens,
  • mature animals with developed cicatricial digestion,
  • animals with strong sensitivity to tylosin.

Pharmacological properties

Pharmazin is a veterinary antibiotic from the macrolide group. Water-soluble fine-grained powder. Shades from white to cream, not the usual specific smell and bitter taste, but solution for intramuscular injections - shades from transparent to light yellow. The active ingredient is tylosin.

Tylosin has a detrimental effect on:

  • Streptococci
  • Pasteurella
  • Staphylococci
  • Corynebacteria
  • Vibrios
  • Microplasmas
  • Clostridia
  • Chlamydia
  • Erysipelotrix
  • Treponema
  • Spirochetes.

The impact occurs at the level of the ribosome, suppressing protein synthesis at the molecular level.

The ribosome is the most important non-membrane organelle of a living cell, which serves for the biosynthesis of protein from amino acids according to a given template based on genetic information provided by messenger RNA (mRNA).

Pharmazin 500 dissolves in water, entering the body is carried with the blood throughout the body, accumulating in greater concentration in:

  • liver to a greater extent,
  • kidneys less,
  • lungs less,
  • dairy glands - in dairy animals,
  • eggs - in rushing animals.

A single dose of the drug will retain the concentration for the implementation of terapervic properties during:

  • farmazin 50 (for intramuscular injection) remains more than 20 hours
  • Pharmazin 500 (for oral administration) retained more than 15-18 hours

Pharmazin also has the ability to selectively accumulate in the primary source of inflammation, which allows it to target the focus. For the most effective treatment, it is necessary to check the sensitivity of the causative agent of the disease to the active substance - tylosin.

The main part of the drug is excreted through the urethra, some part is excreted with the stool and partly with breast milk or eggs.

Hazard level - moderate (class 3 in accordance with GOST 12.1.007)

Conclusion

Proceeding from the fact that pharmacin, getting into the body, accumulates in eggs, use for culinary purposes, demolished during the period of taking the antibiotic and in the next five days after the last intake of the antibiotic, eggs - prohibited because there is a risk of sensitization.

  • Levomycitin
  • Penicillins (mainly with ampicillin and oxacillin)
