A common problem faced by poultry farmers is diarrhea in young animals.

There are many factors that cause diarrhea in chicks. Diarrhea in chicks can occur on the background of nervous stress associated with fright or adaptation to conditions in a new place of residence.

It happens that such a condition can occur due to the feeding of birds with poor-quality feed, not the first freshness. However, diarrhea can indicate serious illness that can lead to the death of the livestock. Pulloresis, or bird typhus, is characterized by thin, white, green, or brown stools.

It is fatal if left untreated. Coccidiosis is diagnosed by the presence of bloody, loose stools. With pasteurellosis or avian cholera in a different way, the presence of green diarrhea with blotches of blood is characteristic. With salmonellosis, birds suffer from liquid foamy diarrhea.

These include compliance with sanitary and hygienic standards and feeding chicks with antimicrobial drugs.

Before settling in a new batch of chicks, the poultry house is disinfected using antiseptic agents.

However, even with the observance of sanitary standards and the presence of medicinal feeding, the incidence of poultry can be observed. Thromexin is used to treat domestic birds for a number of ailments. Sick chicks are given water with diluted thromexin powder for 3-5 days.

If symptoms persist, the course of treatment is repeated after 3-4 days. For young poultry, thromexin is diluted at the rate of 2 g per 1 liter of water on the first day and 1 g per liter of water on the following days. If the recommended dosage is observed, the drug is well tolerated.

Tromexin for chickens

For the prevention of morbidity in poultry, chickens are recommended to be fed with antimicrobial drugs. Thromexin can be used for these purposes. 0.5g of the drug diluted in a liter of boiled chilled water and given to chickens on the 5th day.

Prophylactic watering is carried out within 3-5 days. After three weeks, repeated drinking with an antibiotic with an active substance different from thromexin is carried out.

The use of medicine for goslings

Goslings in the first days of life require increased attention and care. Like birds of other breeds, young geese are most susceptible to various infectious diseases. One of the preventive measures is early drinking with medicinal products with antimicrobial properties.

Antibiotic solution for adult poultry

In the presence of renal failure, it can cause fluid retention in tissues, increased swelling.

Pharmacological characteristics

Sulfamethoxypyridazine and trimethoprim, the main active ingredients of thromexin, are highly effective against a number of pathogenic microorganisms by suppressing the synthesis of tetrahydrofolic acid in a bacterial cell.

Tetracycline in the composition of the drug disrupts the protein biosynthesis of harmful bacteria. Bromhexine has a pronounced mucolytic effect, helps to relieve swelling of the respiratory tract, enhances the saturation of the body with oxygen by improving ventilation of the respiratory system.

A therapeutically significant concentration of active substances in the blood is reached after one to two hours have passed since the drug was consumed and lasts for 12 hours.

The maximum level of concentration in the blood is observed 8 hours after oral administration. It is excreted mainly in the urine, to a lesser extent in the bile.

Antibiotic therapy has its supporters and opponents.

Some farmers are leaning towards rearing poultry more naturally without the use of antimicrobial agents.

It is worth noting that, subject to the instructions and rules for the use of medicines for chickens, including the scope, dosage, contraindications, precautions and the period of excretion, negative consequences, both for feathered pets and for people who eat meat and eggs of domestic birds can be avoided.

Avoiding the use of antibiotics for broilers has several consequences.ranging from losses associated with the death of livestock, ending with the potential danger of contracting dangerous infectious diseases, such as, for example, salmonellosis, which is easily transmitted to humans.
