Araucaria flower - the subtleties of care
Araucaria flower is an evergreen fluffy tree that looks like a small Christmas tree, it can be grown at home, and decorated like a living Christmas tree for New Year.
However, precisely because araucaria is a coniferous evergreen plant, there is an opinion that it requires certain conditions under which it will grow well, namely: the temperature in summer should not be higher than 20 degrees, and in winter five degrees, under other conditions the araucaria flower will begin to dry and eventually throws off all the needles.
But there is an opinion that refutes the consistency of this main temperature condition. Those who possess araucaria claim that the plant perfectly tolerates 32 degrees in summer and 25 degrees in winter, but with improper lighting it may well "bend".
Also, the soil is important for araucaria, its composition; for a flower, it is better to make a soil mixture yourself from coniferous and sod soil, sand and peat in equal parts.
If suddenly the araucaria begins to drop the needles, then the lower branches can be easily cut off, leaving 10 centimeter stumps, new branches will grow in their place. If the decorative effect is lost and higher and there is a clear tendency to a worsening of the situation, then it will be necessary to cut off the top and try to root it, planting it in the sand with peat, heating the bottom and maintaining a sufficiently high humidity of the surrounding air stalk. Araucaria usually takes root after three months.
Every three years, the araucaria flower needs to be replanted, changing the soil.
In the summer, you need to take it out into the fresh air, but hide it from direct sunlight. It is preferable to water araucaria with boiled water, in moderation. In winter, it is still better to try to keep the plant cool, reduce watering to a minimum, but make sure that the soil is not dry. It is necessary to spray the plant regularly, especially if the air is hot and dry.
