Enotera perennial

Perennial Enotera is a beautiful plant with bright yellow goblet flowers. Peduncles are formed from a basal rosette. Flowers open in the evening, so this plant is also called "Queen of the Night". The next day, the opened flowers wither, and new ones take their place. This feature of evening primrose causes flowering throughout the summer.

Evening primrose flowers can be white, pink, yellow and blue. Plant height reaches 50 centimeters. Perennial evening primrose is used for planting in groups on flower beds, lawns and for cutting.

Enotera perennial is completely unpretentious and winter-hardy, it prefers sunny places, but it can develop quite well in partial shade. Enotera prefers loosened and fertilized soils, it does not tolerate stagnant moisture, so the soil must have good permeability.

The plant is usually propagated by dividing the bush or seeds. Seeds for seedlings are sown in February or March, and the plant is planted in a permanent place in May. In this case, flowering will occur in the first year. The distance between the bushes should be about 50 centimeters, then the plants will be comfortable, they will not interfere with each other. In autumn, perennial evening primrose is cut off at the root, and a layer of peat or compost is laid around. Adult bushes in the fall or spring need to be dug up, divided and transplanted. Thus, the "rejuvenation" of the bushes is carried out. Evening primrose transplant tolerates well, even during flowering. Perennial evening primrose needs fertilizing with complex mineral fertilizers.
