Forsythia in the photo - spring sun in the garden

Forsythia in the photo is a real spring sun. The first bright yellow flowers, densely covering the bare branches of a shrub, appear on it when most of the shrubs and trees do not even think to release leaves: in mid-early March, or even at the end of February. Forsythia in the photo pleases the eye with an abundance of golden yellow bell flowers for a long time. The plant blooms until mid-April, and then changes its color to fresh greens of blossoming leaves. Throughout the summer, forsythia leaves retain their soft green hue, and closer to autumn they are painted in incredibly bright colors.

This shrub has many varieties that differ significantly from each other in appearance. In regions with a temperate climate, ovoid, or oval, as well as drooping and intermediate forsythia are most often grown. In warmer and sunnier areas, European and dark green varieties of this plant have taken root well.

Forsythia is an extremely valuable plant from a decorative point of view. Unfortunately, today it is not known to all flower growers and gardeners, and it can be found in rare areas (mainly where landscape designers worked, who value forsythia extremely). Meanwhile, this shrub, thanks to its early, very abundant and long-lasting flowering, looks great both in group and single plantings on lawns, and as one of the constituent parts of complex landscape compositions. Among other things, forsythia can be used as a very effective hedge.
