Handsome exakum: care

Perhaps everyone has heard about the uzambar violet, a favorite of indoor plants. But few people know about the Persian violet. Meanwhile, Exakum, the care of which requires certain knowledge, is no less beautiful.

This houseplant is not very popular today. But, I think, soon this beautifully flowering plant can be found quite often on the windowsills of apartments, offices, public premises. With its abundant flowering, the Persian violet will bring unspeakable pleasure to everyone who decides to grow it.

Like any flowering plant, Exakum needs sun. But he does not tolerate direct sunlight - his delicate leaves will surely turn pale. The best option for him is slightly dimmed sunlight.

Just as you need to be anxious about watering this pet. A lump of earth for a Persian violet must constantly be kept moist, but without overmoistening it, observe the drainage of the pot with the plant, drain excess water from the pan. But this color loves high humidity, and therefore it will like regular spraying.

During the flowering and budding period, Exakum must be fed regularly, once a week.

For the winter period, Ekzakum must provide a dormant period - reduce watering, the temperature of the room where the flowerpot with the plant is located must be maintained at 15-20 degrees.

The Persian violet is propagated by seeds and cuttings. The seeds are small, and therefore are sown superficially with access to sunlight. A bowl with sown seeds is covered with glass, regularly airing such a greenhouse. When the seedlings grow up, they are dived in separate pots, observing drainage, the earth is taken for exakum, leafy, light.

Good luck!
